Quickstart

Craft the greatsword at a crafting table using . Equip it, then try both its attack and its use action:

• Attack nearby targets to trigger its powerful hit effect.
• Use the sword to pull in eligible living entities within about 2.75 blocks and send them to a sealed chamber. The sword plays a sound and warns that Creepus is hungry.

The use effect can capture mobs and other players, so keep allies clear when testing it.

Overview

The Overseer Of The Deep Dark is an epic, shimmering greatsword with 2,031 durability. It pairs heavy melee damage with a short-range capture effect that feeds the demon sealed inside it.

What It Adds

• Overseer Of The Deep Dark: A single-handed sword that can be crafted and used like other held weapons.
• Creepus’s feeding effect: Using the sword captures nearby living entities and sends them away to a sealed chamber.

How To Use

Hold the sword and use it to activate its capture effect. It checks for eligible entities within about 2.75 blocks of you in your current dimension. The wielder and entities already captured are excluded; other nearby living entities, including players, can be taken.

Captured targets are briefly pulled toward you, then transported to the sealed chamber in the End. The effect does not provide a way to bring them back.

Crafting And Obtaining

Craft the sword at a crafting table. The recipe uses quartz, sculk, an ender eye, and redstone; the shortcode above shows the full layout.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Melee hit: A successful hit triggers an entity-attack effect dealing 40 damage—20 hearts before armor and toughness mitigation.
• Capture: Using the sword sends nearby eligible living entities to the End chamber.
• Feeding: Captured entities take 4 magic damage every 2 seconds while they remain in the chamber.

Progression And Strategy

Try the capture effect on a hostile mob with open space around you, then give it time to feed. Because the effect can also capture other players and nearby living entities, use it away from companions you want to keep close.
