Organcraft Awakening
Quickstart
- Craft a Chest Opener using {{ cm:recipe id="1052462" }}.
- Equip the Chest Opener and attack a mob with it to harvest an organ from its body.
- Collect the harvested organ item that drops.
- Use the Chest Opener on yourself (or interact with your own character) to open your own chest cavity and implant the organ.
- Walk around and experiment — each organ type grants a different passive or triggered ability once installed.
Overview
Organcraft Awakening turns mobs into a source of strange biological power. Using a special tool, you can cut open creatures to extract their organs, then implant those organs into your own body to gain unnatural abilities. It's a survival-horror-flavored progression loop: hunt, harvest, and self-modify.
What It Adds
- Chest Opener – a craftable tool used to harvest organs from mobs and to open your own chest for implanting them.
- Harvested Organs – five organ items, each tied to a different ability:
- Harvested Heart
- Harvested Liver
- Harvested Muscle
- Harvested Spine
- Harvested Lungs
Each organ item can only be carried one at a time (they don't stack), reinforcing their value as rare, precious harvested resources.
How To Use
- Harvesting: Equip the Chest Opener and strike a mob with it. This "opens" the mob and can yield one of the harvested organ items. The tool has limited durability, so it will eventually wear out and need to be recrafted.
- Implanting: Use the Chest Opener on yourself to open your own chest cavity, then choose an organ to implant from a selection menu. Your body can hold multiple different installed organs at once — one of each type.
- Removing: Opening your chest again lets you review and manage your currently installed organs, including removing ones you no longer want.
Crafting And Obtaining
Craft the Chest Opener from basic materials:
Harvested organs cannot be crafted — they can only be obtained by harvesting mobs with the Chest Opener.
Abilities And Mechanics
Each organ grants a unique passive effect or special ability while implanted in your body:
| Organ | Theme |
|---|
| Heart | Vitality-related effects |
| Liver | Resistance/toxin-related effects |
| Muscle | Strength and physical power |
| Spine | Mobility and agility |
| Lungs | Breath and stamina-related effects |
Abilities apply automatically once an organ is installed — there's no need to "activate" most of them, though some abilities (such as movement-based effects) may have cooldowns before they can trigger again.
Progression And Strategy
- Start by crafting a Chest Opener and hunting nearby mobs to see what organs they yield.
- Prioritize implanting organs that complement your playstyle — for example, mobility organs for exploration, or vitality organs for combat survivability.
- Since organs don't stack and installation is limited to one per body slot, focus on collecting a full, matched set of the five organ types for maximum benefit.
- Keep a spare Chest Opener or materials on hand, since the tool has a durability limit and will need replacing during extended harvesting.
