Ore Sight Helmet

Quickstart

1. Gather Ender Eyes, Gold Ingots, and Glass.
2. Craft the four armor pieces using the recipes below.
3. Equip the Ore Sight Helmet Helmet first — it's the piece that grants the special ability.
4. Walk around underground with the helmet on. Nearby stone hiding ore will briefly turn transparent, letting you see the ore inside before you mine it.
5. Equip the full set (helmet, chestplate, leggings, boots) to gain a passive Haste effect for faster mining.

Overview

Ore Sight Helmet is an armor set built for prospectors and miners. The centerpiece is an enchanted-looking helmet that lets you peer through nearby stone to spot hidden ore blocks before you dig. The matching chestplate, leggings, and boots round out a full armor set that rewards wearing all four pieces together with a mining speed boost.

What It Adds

All four pieces are enchantable and can be repaired with Amethyst Shards.

How To Use

• Wear the helmet to activate the ore-revealing ability. It continuously scans the terrain around you while equipped, temporarily making stone blocks near hidden ore invisible so the ore underneath is visible.
• The effect only reveals blocks near you and updates automatically — no button press or item use is required, just keep the helmet on your head.
• Stone blocks return to normal once you move away or remove the helmet.
• Equip all four pieces at once (helmet, chestplate, leggings, boots) to receive Haste, speeding up your mining while the full set is worn.
• Each piece can be enchanted like normal armor and repaired at an anvil or by combining with Amethyst Shards.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Ore Sight (Helmet only): While worn, nearby stone-type blocks concealing ore are made temporarily transparent so you can see valuable ore through solid stone, helping you locate deposits without blindly mining.
• Full Set Bonus (Haste): Wearing all four Ore Sight Helmet armor pieces simultaneously grants a continuous Haste effect, letting you break blocks faster once you've found the ore you were looking for.

Progression And Strategy

• Craft the helmet first since it provides the core scouting ability on its own.
• Build out the full set over time to unlock the Haste bonus, turning the set into both a detection tool and a mining speed upgrade.
• Keep a stock of Amethyst Shards on hand to repair your armor's durability as you explore and mine.
• Use the ore-sight ability while exploring cave systems or mining tunnels to quickly identify promising areas before committing time to digging.
