Overview

The Orbforged Axe is a single legendary item that outclasses netherite across every stat: more durability, faster mining, higher attack damage, and better enchantability. It fills the same role as any vanilla axe, so everything you already know about axes applies — no new mechanics to learn, just a significant power upgrade.

What It Adds

Abilities And Mechanics

As a proper axe, the Orbforged Axe can:

• Strip logs — right-click any log or wood block to strip it.
• Scrape oxidized copper — right-click waxed or oxidized copper blocks to remove a layer.
• Mine axe blocks at full speed — wood, chests, bookshelves, pumpkins, and all other axe-mineable blocks.
• Disable shields — hitting a shield-using player disables their shield briefly, just like a vanilla axe.

Crafting And Obtaining

The recipe is automatically known upon joining any world; no advancement or unlock is required.

Ingredients at a glance: Ender Pearls, Diamonds, a Netherite Ingot, a Blaze Rod, and a Stick.

Progression And Strategy

• Craft the Orbforged Axe as soon as you have access to netherite and end/nether materials — it immediately replaces your netherite axe in every situation.
• Its higher enchantability means you'll land better enchantments on average. Prioritize Efficiency, Sharpness, and Unbreaking to maximize its advantages.
• Keep a stock of Netherite Ingots for repairs on an anvil to maintain peak durability over long play sessions.
• The axe deals more base damage than a netherite sword, making it a strong choice as your primary melee weapon if you're willing to accept the slower attack speed typical of axes.
