Orbforged Aegis

Quickstart

1. Open your inventory and find all four Orbforged Aegis pieces in the Combat creative tab.
2. Craft or obtain each piece (see recipes below), then drag them into your armor slots — helmet on top, chestplate, leggings, and boots at the bottom.
3. All four pieces work independently; there is no set-bonus activation step. Equip any piece and its stats apply immediately.

Overview

Orbforged Aegis is a four-piece armor set with an orb-themed aesthetic that outclasses Netherite across every stat: higher armor points, greater toughness, stronger knockback resistance, and more durability on every slot.

What It Adds

For reference, a full Netherite set provides 3/8/6/3 armor, 3.0 toughness per piece, and 0.1 knockback resistance per piece — the Orbforged Aegis beats it in every category.

Crafting And Obtaining

All four pieces are unlocked as soon as you join a world, so their recipes appear in your recipe book automatically.

Chestplate — upgraded at a Smithing Table using a Netherite Upgrade Smithing Template, a Netherite Chestplate, and a Nether Star:

Abilities And Mechanics

• Each piece grants its armor, toughness, and knockback resistance the moment it is equipped in the correct slot — no full-set requirement.
• Stats stack normally with enchantments such as Protection, Unbreaking, and Mending.
• The set uses the standard Minecraft armor system, so it is compatible with all vanilla enchantments that apply to armor.

Progression And Strategy

Because two pieces require existing Netherite armor as a base (chestplate and boots are Smithing Table upgrades), the recommended path is:

1. Progress through the Nether to collect Netherite and a Netherite Upgrade Smithing Template.
2. Defeat the Wither or trade to collect Nether Stars — you will need several.
3. Gather End Crystals and Crying Obsidian for the helmet and leggings recipes.
4. Craft the helmet and leggings at a crafting table, then upgrade your Netherite chestplate and boots at the Smithing Table.
5. With the full set equipped you will have the highest passive protection available, making it ideal for taking on the Ender Dragon, Warden, or any late-game challenge.
