Oracle And Liar Orbs

Quickstart

1. Craft Verity, the True Oracle, The Blue Liar, and the portal tool named Oracle And Liar Orbs at a crafting table. Their recipes are shown below.
2. Hold either orb, aim at a block within 96 blocks, and use it. Compare Verity’s answer with the Blue Liar’s.
3. Hold the portal tool and use it while aiming at a block face to place the first portal. Sneak and use it while aiming at another block face to place the second. Walk through either glowing portal to travel to the other.
4. Watch out for Hostile Red Balls in the wild—or try one’s spawn egg from the Creative inventory.

Overview

The mod gives you two orbs for checking what you’re looking at, a portal tool for linking two locations, and a hostile bouncing mob. Verity reports the truth; the Blue Liar deliberately gives a false answer.

How To Use

The orbs

Use an orb while aiming at a block. Verity identifies the block and gives its block coordinates; it also reports your position to two decimal places and names your dimension. If it cannot see a block within 96 blocks, it says so and still gives your position.

The Blue Liar uses the same 96-block range. When you’re targeting a block, it names the correct coordinates but calls the block minecraft:air. When there’s no block in range, it claims you’re looking at minecraft:bedrock.

The portals

Use Oracle And Liar Orbs while aiming at a block face to set your first portal. Sneak while using it to set the second. Using it again replaces the portal for that same step: normal use replaces the first, and sneaking replaces the second.

The portals can be placed in different dimensions. Their glowing openings show a stylized view of the linked destination. Cross through either opening to emerge from the other.

Hostile Red Balls may spawn naturally in eligible monster, swamp, mangrove swamp, or frozen biomes on Easy through Hard difficulty. You can also use their spawn egg from the Creative inventory, or summon one with /summon com_oracle_and_liar_orbs_sdxy5k2v:red_ball.

Abilities And Mechanics

Hostile Red Balls have 12 health and deal 3 damage when they attack. They jump around and pursue players they can see within 16 blocks. Defeating one can yield 0–2 slimeballs.

Progression And Strategy

Use Verity to identify a distant block or check your coordinates, then use the Blue Liar on the same target to hear its deliberately wrong version. For travel, place the two portal openings where you can safely walk through them; setting them in separate dimensions lets you link those locations.
