Obsidian Visor Armor

Quickstart

1. Gather obsidian and at least one netherite ingot.
2. Open a crafting table and craft the four armor pieces (recipes below).
3. Equip all four pieces — helmet, chestplate, leggings, and boots.
4. Once the full set is worn, watch for the action bar message: "Obsidian Visor Set: Full Set Bonus Active!" — you now have Resistance II and Regeneration I passively applied.

Overview

Obsidian Visor Armor is a powerful end-game armor set styled with a sleek black glossy finish and a distinctive white visor on the helmet. Every piece offers roughly 5× the protection and durability of netherite, making it the toughest armor available. The trade-off is that no piece can be enchanted. Wearing the complete set unlocks a powerful passive bonus on top of the already exceptional stats.

Crafting And Obtaining

All pieces are crafted at a crafting table. Recipes unlock automatically once you have obsidian (and a netherite ingot for the helmet) in your inventory.

Abilities And Mechanics

Full Set Bonus

Wearing all four Obsidian Visor Armor pieces simultaneously grants continuous passive effects, refreshed every 2 seconds:

• Resistance II — dramatically reduces incoming damage from all sources.
• Regeneration I — slowly restores health over time.

When the full set is equipped, the message "Obsidian Visor Set: Full Set Bonus Active!" appears on your action bar. Removing any piece cancels the bonus immediately and displays "Obsidian Visor Set: Full Set Bonus lost."

No Enchanting

None of the armor pieces can be enchanted. The set's power comes entirely from its base stats and the full-set bonus.

Repairing

Each piece can be repaired using obsidian in an anvil. Each obsidian used restores a portion of the piece's durability.

Progression And Strategy

• Obtain obsidian early — mine it with a diamond or netherite pickaxe near lava pools or in the Nether.
• Prioritize the chestplate — it provides the highest protection value (40) of any single piece and uses only obsidian.
• Craft the helmet last — it is the only piece requiring a netherite ingot in addition to obsidian.
• Always wear the full set — the Resistance II + Regeneration I combination makes you exceptionally hard to kill, far outweighing wearing a partial set mixed with other armor.
• Stock obsidian for repairs — since enchantments like Unbreaking are unavailable, keep a supply of obsidian to maintain your armor's durability during heavy combat or exploration.
