Noxious Stinger

Quickstart

1. Gather the ingredients and craft the Noxious Stinger at a crafting table:

1. Equip it in your main hand.
2. Left-click a target to strike it with the Stinger. Melee hits inflict Poison II and Wither II.
3. Right-click to launch a venomous stinger projectile. It travels quickly and applies stronger effects on impact.
4. Watch the 0.5-second cooldown after firing before launching another shot.

In Creative mode, you can also find the Noxious Stinger in the Combat item group. For commands, use:

/give @s noxious-stinger-ihsypf2o:noxious_stinger_ihsypf2o

Overview

The Noxious Stinger is a single-slot melee weapon and ranged venom launcher. It has a permanent enchantment glint, deals heavy melee damage, and never loses durability through combat or use.

Use it to fight at close range with poisoned strikes or keep your distance by firing fast toxic projectiles.

How To Use

Melee Attacks

Hold the Noxious Stinger and attack normally. Each successful hit:

• Deals 20 attack damage.
• Applies Poison II for 10 seconds.
• Applies Wither II for 2 seconds.

The Stinger has an attack speed of 2.0, allowing it to be used as a fast heavy weapon.

Venom Projectiles

Right-click while holding the Stinger to launch a projectile in the direction you are looking.

• Projectiles have a 0.5-second cooldown.
• A projectile that hits a living target deals 50 damage.
• Undead targets take 100 damage instead.
• Living targets receive Poison IV for 10 seconds.
• Living targets receive Wither IV for 5 seconds.
• A projectile that hits a block disappears without damaging the block.

Projectiles produce a toxic particle trail and create an impact effect when they hit a target or block.

Crafting And Obtaining

Craft the Noxious Stinger using:

• 2 Coal Blocks
• 1 Green Dye
• 1 Pufferfish
• 1 Arrow
• 1 Iron Sword
• 3 Sandstone

The recipe becomes available after you enter a world. The finished weapon does not stack and can also be obtained from the Creative mode Combat item group.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Venomous strikes: Melee hits apply Poison II and Wither II.
• Toxic shots: Ranged hits apply stronger Poison and Wither effects.
• Undead slayer: Projectiles deal double their normal damage to undead targets.
• Unbreakable weapon: The Stinger does not lose durability, even when used repeatedly.
• Sword classification: It functions as a sword for sword-related interactions.
• Glowing appearance: The item always displays an enchantment-style glint despite requiring no enchantment.

Progression And Strategy

Use the projectile attack to weaken or eliminate dangerous targets before they reach you. Against undead enemies, ranged shots are especially effective because of their doubled damage.

For close combat, strike once and reposition while Poison and Wither continue dealing damage. Keep the Stinger equipped when exploring hostile areas so you can switch between melee attacks and ranged shots without carrying separate weapons.
