Netherite Shard Transmuter

Quickstart

Craft the transmuter, hold it, and use it on Diamond Ore or Deepslate Diamond Ore. Each use consumes the ore and gives you one Netherite Shard.

Overview

The Netherite Shard Transmuter is a pickaxe-like tool for turning diamond ore into Netherite Shards one block at a time.

What It Adds

• Netherite Shard Transmuter: A single-use-at-a-time tool with iron-material pickaxe properties.
• Netherite Shard: The item produced when you transmute diamond ore.

How To Use

1. Hold the transmuter and use it on a Diamond Ore or Deepslate Diamond Ore block.
2. The block is destroyed without its usual drops, and you receive one Netherite Shard.
3. If your inventory is full, the shard drops on the ground instead.

Other blocks aren’t transmuted by using the tool on them.

Crafting And Obtaining

The transmuter recipe uses a Netherite Ingot, Amethyst Shard, Diamond, Diamond Pickaxe, and Redstone. You can also find the transmuter in the Creative inventory’s Tools & Utilities tab and the shard in Ingredients.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Each successful transmutation consumes one durability from the transmuter.
• The transmuter is a pickaxe, but its special transmutation works by using it on ore blocks.
• Each ore block produces exactly one Netherite Shard.

Progression And Strategy

Save the transmuter’s durability for Diamond Ore and Deepslate Diamond Ore: other blocks won’t yield shards through its special use. Empty inventory slots before transmuting if you don’t want shards to land on the ground.
