The Nether Gaze Stalker is a towering hostile Nether mob. It stands roughly four blocks tall, wanders through its surroundings, and attacks nearby players.
Its defining ability is gaze-triggered teleportation: when you look directly at it and it has line of sight to you, it blinks to your position and targets you for a melee attack.
The stalker naturally appears in Nether biomes as a hostile monster. Groups can range from 1 to 6 mobs.
For controlled encounters, use its spawn egg on a block. The egg is available in the Creative Spawn Eggs tab.
The spawn egg can also be given with:

The stalker reacts when all of the following are true:
When triggered, it teleports directly to your position and selects you as its target. It then closes in and attacks with melee strikes.
The trigger occurs once per gaze encounter. Look away or hide the stalker from view to reset it, then looking at it again can trigger another teleport.
Use cover, corners, and terrain to prevent it from seeing you. Avoid staring at it in open ground unless you are ready for it to appear at your position.
After it teleports, keep moving and use ranged attacks or obstacles to create distance. Its tall body makes it easy to spot, but it can still reach you quickly after a teleport.

The stalker occasionally emits a subtle red dust aura around its upper body. Its red eyes and particles make it easier to identify in dark Nether environments.
It can swim, wander, look around, watch nearby players, and pursue a player after the gaze trigger selects a target.
The Nether Gaze Stalker has no crafting recipe.
Obtain it by:
/summon command with its entity ID.The spawn egg stacks up to 64.
Treat the stalker as a dangerous encounter rather than a mob to casually observe. Its teleportation makes direct eye contact risky, especially in open areas or near cliffs and lava.
For safer testing:
In natural Nether exploration, watch open terrain carefully and avoid staring at distant red eyes unless you are prepared for the stalker to arrive at your location.
