Neper

Quickstart

1. Open your Creative inventory and search for Neper to find its spawn egg, or find one naturally by venturing into the Nether.
2. Use the spawn egg on any block to summon a Neper.
3. If you encounter one in the wild, be ready to fight — Neper is hostile and will chase you down on sight.
4. Defeat it for experience orbs, or keep your distance and observe its aggressive, piglin-like behavior.

Overview

Neper is a fiery red Nether beast that behaves like a savage piglin. It stalks players through the Nether's harsh terrain, aggressively hunting and attacking anyone who crosses its path. Visually it stands out with a striking red coloration, but underneath its behavior mirrors that of a piglin brute in combat mindset — relentless and dangerous.

What It Adds

• Neper – a hostile mob that naturally spawns in the Nether.
• Neper Spawn Egg – lets you summon Neper anywhere, found in the Spawn Eggs tab of the Creative inventory.

How To Use

• Spawning naturally: Neper spawns on its own throughout Nether biomes alongside other hostile mobs, so simply exploring the Nether is enough to run into one.
• Spawning manually: Use the Neper spawn egg on any surface to place a Neper directly into the world.
• Combat: Once it notices you, Neper will relentlessly chase and attack, just like a hostile piglin. Approach with weapons and armor ready, or use fire-resistant gear and ranged tactics if you'd rather avoid melee.
• Rewards: Defeating a Neper grants a modest amount of experience.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Hostile behavior: Neper actively hunts nearby players, closing distance quickly and attacking with melee strikes.
• Piglin-like instincts: Its underlying behavior comes from the same instincts that drive piglins — it will pursue and engage in combat much like you'd expect from a hostile Nether native.
• Nether spawning: Neper spawns naturally in Nether biomes, appearing as an additional threat alongside the Nether's usual hostile mobs.

Progression And Strategy

Treat Neper like any dangerous Nether hostile: bring proper gear (fire resistance helps if you're near lava), keep your health topped up, and don't get surrounded. Because it hunts aggressively rather than waiting to be provoked, it's best approached deliberately with a weapon ready rather than stumbled into unarmed. Defeating Neper is a good way to earn a bit of extra experience during Nether expeditions.
