Hold the Neon Heart Banana in your hand and right-click (use) to consume it. Eating it takes the normal eating animation time. Upon finishing:
Because the banana is always edible, you are never blocked from using it — even at full hunger. This makes it reliable in any situation, including mid-combat or right before a fatal fall.
The recipe is automatically unlocked the first time you load a world — no crafting prerequisites required.
The ingredients are intentionally rare and high-value, reflecting the banana's extraordinary power:
Unlike standard food, the Neon Heart Banana can be eaten regardless of your current hunger level. Keep one on your hotbar as a panic button.
Eating the banana applies Health Boost (level 250) for 5 minutes (6,000 ticks). This effect adds 500 extra hearts on top of your normal 10 hearts, massively increasing your maximum health pool.
The moment you finish eating, your health is set to your new maximum — meaning all 500+ extra hearts are filled immediately. You don't need to eat additional food to fill the bonus health.
While carrying the Neon Heart Banana, it provides protection against freezing damage (e.g., from powder snow).
