Mob Hunt Bounty

Quickstart

1. Kill any mob and collect its drops. Every mob death yields a bounty, including a Hunter’s Clue marked with that mob’s type.
2. Hold the clue and use it (right-click). It reports the nearest living mob of the same type it can find within 512 blocks in your current dimension.
3. Follow the direction and distance, then use the clue again as you get closer. The clue is reusable.

Overview

Mob Hunt Bounty turns every mob hunt into a source of powerful supplies and a lead to more of the same kind of mob. No special weapon or setup is required.

What It Adds

Each mob death drops:

• 8 diamonds
• 1 netherite ingot
• 1 Totem of Undying
• 2 enchanted golden apples
• 16 experience bottles
• 1 Hunter’s Clue
• 1 randomly selected netherite item named Bounty Hunter’s Relic

The relic is one of a netherite sword, axe, pickaxe, chestplate, helmet, leggings, or boots.

How To Use

Use a Hunter’s Clue while holding it. If a matching mob is nearby, the clue reports its approximate horizontal distance and compass direction, whether it is above or below you (or at your elevation), and the dimension it is in.

Clues only search the dimension you are currently in. If the clue says the trail is cold, search elsewhere in that dimension and try again. A clue without a trail has no target; hunt a mob to get a usable clue.

Progression And Strategy

Use a clue after each hunt to find another mob of the same type. The guaranteed supplies and randomized relic make even a single kill a substantial reward; repeated hunts provide more clues and more chances to get useful gear.
