Mod Wiki

Meteorflame Greatblade

Quickstart

  • Survival: Look for the Reliquary Keep that appears ahead of your first spawn. Find the sword in its chest and take it to start a fight with the Reliquary Guardian; defeating the Guardian awards the Meteorflame Greatblade.
  • Crafting: Collect Obsidian Shards, a Meteorite Edge, and a Soul Iron Ingot, then craft the blade using the recipe below.
  • Creative: Find the Meteorflame Greatblade in the Equipment inventory and equip it.
  • Try its controls: Hit a creature for a broad flaming slash. Use the blade while aiming at an enemy to call down obsidian rain, or crouch once with the blade selected to trigger a fire burst.

Overview

The mod centers on a powerful fire-and-obsidian sword, with a Reliquary Keep encounter, a Scorched Forest biome, hostile creatures, custom ores, and Cinder armor. You can pursue the Keep’s Guardian challenge or gather materials and craft the blade.

What It Adds

  • Weapons: Meteorflame Greatblade and Scorching Sword.
  • Armor: Cinder Helmet, Chestplate, Leggings, and Boots.
  • Exploration: The Scorched Forest, the Reliquary Keep, and custom ores.
  • Enemies: Ash Raider, Ash Stalker, Basalt Brute, Charred Creeper, Cinder Archer, Cinder Pillager, Ember Witch, Magma Howler, Mutated Fire Skeleton, and Reliquary Guardian.
  • Building materials: Ashen Soil, Cinderstone, Emberstone, Scorched Bricks, Basalt Bricks, and Cracked Cinderstone.

How To Use

The Greatblade’s abilities work while you carry it; select it to use its crouch-triggered burst.

ActionEffect
Hit a creatureSweeps a wide flaming slash through the space ahead, burning creatures it catches.
Hit twice within about 1.5 secondsCalls down an additional obsidian-rain attack on the target.
Use the blade while aiming at an enemyCalls down several waves of obsidian shards and a giant meteor. Aim at a nearby enemy; the attack needs a target in front of you.
Crouch once with the blade selectedBursts fire around you, damaging and igniting nearby creatures.

The fire burst also starts a lingering aura for five minutes. Nearby creatures that touch it take damage and catch fire. While the aura is active, nearby flammable blocks can ignite. The meteor attack’s explosion does not break terrain.

If you take damage while the Greatblade is in your inventory, it also triggers the fire burst. Holding hot items such as the Greatblade, Ember Shard, or Cinder Ingot without wearing armor causes heat damage over time. Wearing armor prevents this unarmored heat damage.

Crafting And Obtaining

In the Scorched Forest, look for custom ores. Obsidian Ore yields Obsidian Shards; Meteorite Ore yields Meteorite Cores and Ember Shards; Soul Iron Ore yields Soul Iron Ingots; and Scorched Relic Ore yields Ember Shards or Cinder Ingots. Other ores yield Ember Coal Chunks, Cinder Gold Nuggets, Brimstone Lumps, Scorched Rubies, Scorched Quartz, or Purple Crystals.

Craft a Meteorite Edge from Meteorite Cores and a stick:

For building, the mod includes recipes for Basalt Bricks , Cracked Cinderstone , Emberstone , and Scorched Bricks . Cinder Gold Nuggets can also be crafted into a Gold Ingot .

Progression And Strategy

Explore the Scorched Forest for the materials needed to craft the blade and armor, or tackle the Reliquary Keep’s Guardian for the Greatblade reward. Wear armor before carrying hot materials or wielding the blade, and use the Keep’s hostile creatures as a test of your attacks.
