Melius Vanish

Quickstart

1. Craft the Melius Vanish item using an Ender Pearl surrounded by Gold Nuggets:

1. Hold the item and right-click to activate it.
2. You will instantly turn invisible for 10 seconds and receive a speed boost for 3 seconds — use that window to slip away or hide.
3. The item goes on a 15-second cooldown after each use. Watch the cooldown indicator on the item before using it again.

Overview

The Melius Vanish is a single-use-per-cooldown utility item designed for stealth and escape. Right-clicking it makes you vanish from sight and dash away before enemies can react. It is a non-consumable tool — it stays in your inventory and can be reused indefinitely, limited only by its cooldown.

What It Adds

How To Use

• Right-click while holding the Melius Vanish to trigger the vanish effect.
• If the item is still on cooldown, the right-click does nothing — wait for the cooldown bar to clear.
• Both effects apply only to you and do not affect other players or mobs.

Abilities And Mechanics

Invisibility (10 seconds) Renders you invisible to mobs and other players. Hostile mobs will have difficulty detecting you while the effect is active. Note that held items and armor may still be faintly visible to observant players.

Speed Boost (3 seconds) Grants a Speed II burst immediately upon activation, giving you a head start to put distance between yourself and danger before the invisibility fades.

Cooldown (15 seconds) After each use, the item enters a 15-second cooldown displayed as a sweeping overlay on the item in your hotbar — the same visual used by vanilla items like Ender Pearls. Plan your vanishes carefully; you cannot trigger a second escape until the cooldown expires.

Progression And Strategy

• Early escape tool: Craft this as soon as you have access to Ender Pearls. It can save you from an ambush or a bad fight without consuming the item itself.
• Timing matters: Activate the Melius Vanish before you are cornered. The 15-second cooldown means you only get one vanish per engagement window.
• Combine with sneaking: Go invisible, then crouch to eliminate the name-tag indicator and move silently past enemies.
• PvP situations: The speed boost lets you break line-of-sight quickly. Use terrain and the 10-second window to reposition or disengage entirely.
