Mane Six Magic Staffs

Quickstart

1. Craft the Mane Six Magic Staffs item using the recipe below (you also receive it automatically for free the first time you join a world).
2. Hold the staff and right-click to transform — you'll get a burst of particles, a chime, a status message, and a set of magical buffs.
3. Craft any of the eight Lalaloopsy Magical Girl Staffs to unlock unique themed transformations.
4. Collect full sets of Chaos Emeralds or Super Emeralds to unlock stronger tiers of the Mane Six transformation.
5. Craft The OC Maker & Generator and right-click it to instantly generate your own randomized magical-girl OC with a name, theme, and color.

Overview

This mod lets you wield a collection of magical staffs inspired by My Little Pony's Mane Six and the Lalaloopsy magical-girl heroines. Each staff is a wearable-style right-click item that grants a temporary transformation with combat and utility buffs, along with dramatic sound and particle effects. Collecting sets of colored emeralds powers up the main staff even further, and a special OC Maker item lets you invent your own magical-girl persona.

What It Adds

• Mane Six Magic Staffs — the primary staff, granting a broad "Element of Harmony" transformation.
• Chaos Emeralds and Super Emeralds — seven colors each (green, red, blue, yellow, purple, cyan, white). Collecting a full set of either powers up the main staff's transformation.
• Lalaloopsy Magical Girl Staffs — eight themed staffs, one per Lalaloopsy heroine: Jewel Sparkles, Crumbs Sugar Cookie, Mittens Fluff 'N' Stuff, Spot Splatter Splash, Dot Starlight, Bea Spells-a-Lot, Pillow Featherbed, and Peanut Big Top.
• L.A.L.A. Prep Staffs — upgraded versions of each Lalaloopsy staff, made via a Smithing Table upgrade, offering longer-lasting transformations.
• The OC Maker & Generator — a novelty item that generates a random magical-girl original character with a name, color, and theme.

How To Use

• Right-click any staff to activate its transformation. This applies status effects, plays a transformation sound, and shows particles and an on-screen message.
• Transformations have a 30-second cooldown before you can trigger the staff again.
• Each use slightly damages the staff, so keep an eye on its durability (staffs can be repaired/enchanted like normal tools).
• Wearing/holding a full set of Super Emeralds or Chaos Emeralds in your inventory while using the main Mane Six staff changes which transformation triggers — check your inventory for all 7 colors of one set.
• Right-click The OC Maker & Generator to roll a new random OC. It has a short cooldown and shows the generated character's name and theme in chat and in its tooltip.

Crafting And Obtaining

Main Staff

The Mane Six Magic Staffs item is also given to you automatically the first time you join a world, so you don't strictly need to craft it — but the recipe works too.

Each L.A.L.A. Prep upgrade uses a smithing table with a book template and a themed ingredient (such as a cookie, spyglass, snowball, or bookshelf) applied to the matching base staff.

The OC Maker & Generator

Chaos Emeralds and Super Emeralds do not have crafting recipes shown here — obtain them through the creative menu or other in-game means, then gather a full set of seven to power up the main staff.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Base Mane Six transformation — grants Strength, Speed, Resistance, Regeneration, Haste, Fire Resistance, and Glowing, themed after each Mane Six pony's magic (Honesty, Loyalty, Generosity, Kindness, Laughter, and Friendship).
• Super transformation — triggered by holding a complete set of Chaos Emeralds, producing a stronger effect with intensified particles (End Rod bursts and Enchant sparkles) and a "SUPER" transformation message.
• Hyper transformation — triggered by holding a complete set of Super Emeralds, the most powerful tier, with Totem-of-Undying-style particle effects and a "HYPER" message.
• Lalaloopsy transformations — each themed staff applies its own flavor of magical buffs and displays a unique on-screen message and particle burst.
• L.A.L.A. Prep transformations — the upgraded staffs offer longer-lasting effects than their base Lalaloopsy counterparts.
• OC Generator — grants Luck, Hero of the Village, and Glowing effects as a flavorful "creative spark" alongside generating your character's name and theme.

Progression And Strategy

Start with the base Mane Six staff for general-purpose buffs, then branch into the Lalaloopsy staffs for variety. As you explore and gather Chaos Emeralds, keep a full set of seven in your inventory to unlock the Super transformation from the main staff — and continue collecting a full set of Super Emeralds afterward to reach the Hyper tier for the strongest, longest-lasting transformation. Upgrade your favorite Lalaloopsy staff at a smithing table into its L.A.L.A. Prep form for extended transformation power. Use the OC Maker whenever you want a fun new magical-girl identity to roleplay with.
