Magma Blaster

Quickstart

1. Craft the Magma Blaster using the recipe below and add it to your hotbar.
2. Hold it in your hand and right-click to fire a fiery projectile.
3. Watch the impact — a spectacular burst of flames, lava droplets, smoke, and expanding spark rings erupts on contact!

Overview

The Magma Blaster is a handheld flame-thrower weapon that launches molten projectiles. Each shot leaves a magma block where it lands, ignites nearby blocks, and scorches everything in the blast radius with a dramatic multi-layered visual and audio explosion.

What It Adds

• Magma Blaster — a single, stackable-to-1 tool item with 64 durability and an enchantment glint. Found in the Tools creative tab.

How To Use

• Each shot consumes 1 durability in Survival mode. The blaster breaks after 64 shots.
• While in flight, the projectile trails flame particles.
• On impact with the ground the projectile:
  • Places a magma block at the hit location.
  • Ignites nearby blocks.
  • Triggers a full impact effect (see below).

Abilities And Mechanics

Impact Effects

When a projectile hits a surface, the following happen simultaneously:

• Sounds: Layered explosion blast, lava pop, and blaze-shoot audio.
• Visual burst: Explosion flash, erupting lava droplets, a dense flame cloud, large smoke plume, and rising campfire smoke.
• Expanding spark rings: Concentric rings of flame particles spread outward across the ground, with lava sparks along the outer edge.

Area Scorch (Entity Damage)

Entities caught in the blast radius take falloff damage — the closer they are to the impact, the more damage they receive (minimum 1 ❤). They are also:

• Set on fire for 4 seconds.
• Hit with a small knockback burst pushing them away from the impact point.

Crafting And Obtaining

The recipe is automatically unlocked when you join a world.

Progression And Strategy

• 64 shots per blaster — craft extras before heading into combat or exploration.
• The magma blocks placed on impact are permanent; use this to create hazard fields or light up dark areas.
• Ignited blocks spread fire, so be cautious firing near flammable structures or forests.
• The Magma Blaster supports Unbreaking and Mending enchantments to extend its life, and can be cursed with Curse of Vanishing.
