Wither Storm

Quickstart

1. Gather summon materials: Collect a Command Block (obtainable via /give @s command_block), Soul Sand or Soul Soil, and three Wither Skeleton Skulls.
2. Build the structure: Arrange it like the standard Wither T-shape — but replace the center Soul Sand with a Command Block:
   • Bottom row (base): Soul Sand, Command Block, Soul Sand (in a line)
   • One block below the Command Block: Soul Sand
   • Top row: three Wither Skeleton Skulls placed above the three soul blocks
3. Place the final skull on top of the Command Block position to trigger the summon. The Wither Storm spawns immediately.
4. Craft Super TNT and place it near the Wither Storm to crack it open — this is the only way to damage it.
5. When cracked, you'll be pulled inside. Find the Command Block in the interior and hit it four times to defeat the storm.

Overview

The Wither Storm is a massive, custom wither boss that cannot be killed by conventional means. It grows larger each time it takes a hit from Super TNT, and defeating it requires venturing into a dangerous interior dimension filled with infected blocks, wither skeletons, and a final command block that must be destroyed from the inside. The encounter is entirely player-initiated — you must build the summoning structure yourself.

How To Use

Summoning the Wither Storm

The Wither Storm does not spawn naturally and has no Creative spawn egg. The only way to encounter one is to build the summoning structure manually.

Structure layout (viewed from the side, along any horizontal axis):

[Skull] [Skull] [Skull]   ← top row
[Soul]  [CmdBl] [Soul]    ← middle row
        [Soul]             ← bottom (below command block)

• Replace the standard center Soul Sand with a Command Block.
• Use Soul Sand or Soul Soil for all other soul-block positions.
• Place the last Wither Skeleton Skull to complete the structure and trigger the spawn.

The structure is consumed on summon and the Wither Storm appears immediately.

Damaging the Wither Storm with Super TNT

The Wither Storm is immune to all normal damage. To progress:

1. Place a Super TNT block within roughly 80 blocks of the Wither Storm.
2. Right-click the Super TNT to detonate it.
3. The explosion (10× standard TNT force) cracks the storm open and pulls nearby players into its interior.

Each successful crack causes the Wither Storm to grow larger. If no Wither Storm is nearby, the Super TNT still explodes with full force but does not trigger the interior phase.

The Interior

After being pulled inside the Wither Storm you'll find:

• Infected Purple Sand and dark blocks making up the environment.
• Wither Skeletons guarding the area.
• Powerful loot scattered through the interior.
• A Command Block that is the storm's core.

Strike the Command Block four times to destroy it. Each hit produces dragon-breath particles and a rising-pitch sound. A hit counter is displayed on your screen (e.g. "Command block hit 2/4"). On the fourth hit, the Wither Storm is finally defeated.

Super TNT

Craft Super TNT at a crafting table using the following recipe:

Yields 1 Super TNT. It stacks up to 16. You can find it in the Combat creative tab.

Abilities And Mechanics

• 350 HP — far more than a standard Wither.
• Immediately active on spawn — no invulnerability animation.
• Grows on each Super TNT hit — the storm scales up every time it is cracked.
• Unkillable by normal means — weapons, arrows, and standard explosions deal no damage.
• Pulls players inside when cracked by Super TNT.
• Final defeat requires 4 hits on the interior Command Block.

Progression And Strategy

1. Prepare before summoning. Craft several Super TNT blocks (you may need multiple cracks) and gear up for a wither skeleton fight inside the storm.
2. Summon in an open area. The Wither Storm is massive and moves aggressively. A flat, open space gives you room to maneuver and place Super TNT safely.
3. Stay close but not too close. You need to be within 80 blocks to crack the storm, but the explosion is enormous — keep some distance or use cover.
4. Gear up for the interior. Wither Skeletons inflict the Wither effect. Bring milk buckets, high-tier armor, and weapons before intentionally getting pulled inside.
5. Hit the core quickly. Once inside, locate and strike the Command Block four consecutive times to end the encounter. Lingering gives wither skeletons time to overwhelm you.
