Quickstart

1. Get your hands on some Intention Chips — the core crafting resource. They drop from Matrix Rivals, a zombie-like enemy that also spawns wielding one.
2. Craft a Limitless Pill from glowstone dust, sugar, and an ender pearl: {{ cm:recipe id="994635" }}. Eat it to trigger its brain-training effect.
3. Use Intention Chips to craft the Code Katana and a full set of Coder armor to get started fighting.
4. Hunt Matrix Rivals for chips and Matrix Cores, then upgrade into the Psionic and Architect gear lines.
5. Craft a Neural Shield Projector using a Matrix Core and an Intention Chip to gain a defensive tool: {{ cm:recipe id="994634" }}.

Overview

Limitless Matrix Questline is a gear-progression mod built around a single mysterious enemy — the Matrix Rival — and the materials it carries. By defeating Matrix Rivals and crafting with the components they drop, players climb from basic Coder equipment up through Psionic gear to top-tier Architect armor and weapons. A consumable "brain training" item, the Limitless Pill, and a defensive Neural Shield round out the toolkit.

Mobs

• Matrix Rival — a zombie-type enemy that actively targets and attacks players, spawns holding an Intention Chip, and yields solid experience when defeated. A spawn egg is available for summoning it directly in Creative-style play.

How To Use

• Fighting Matrix Rivals: These enemies hunt players down and melee attack. Defeat them to collect Intention Chips for crafting. Use the spawn egg if you want to summon one on demand to farm materials or test your gear.
• Eating the Limitless Pill: Hold it and use it (right-click) to consume it and trigger its effect.
• Using the Neural Shield Projector: Hold it and use it (right-click) to activate its protective effect.
• Equipping Armor: Wear a full matching set (helmet, chestplate, leggings, boots) of Coder, Psionic, or Architect gear in the armor slots for the best protection.
• Wielding Weapons: Equip the Code Katana, Psionic Saber, or Architect Blade in your hand to fight with tier-appropriate melee damage.

Crafting And Obtaining

Intention Chips (needed for most recipes above) and Matrix Cores (needed for the Neural Shield Projector) are obtained by defeating Matrix Rivals — they are not crafted from raw materials.

Higher-tier Psionic and Architect equipment is built from these same drops as you gather enough materials from repeated Matrix Rival encounters.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Matrix Rival AI: Aggressively seeks out and targets nearby players, using melee attacks and wandering behavior when no target is present.
• Armor Tiers: Each armor set increases protection, toughness, and knockback resistance as you progress — Coder is the lightest, Psionic is a strong mid-tier upgrade, and Architect provides the strongest defense in the mod.
• Limitless Pill: A consumable item themed around "training your brain," used with a simple right-click interaction.
• Neural Shield Projector: An activatable item that projects a protective effect when used.

Progression And Strategy

1. Start by defeating Matrix Rivals for Intention Chips.
2. Craft Coder armor and the Code Katana to establish a safe early loadout.
3. Continue farming Matrix Rivals for chips and Matrix Cores to fund the Neural Shield Projector and higher-tier gear.
4. Progress into Psionic equipment for improved toughness and combat power.
5. Work toward a full Architect set and the Architect Blade for the strongest armor and weapon available in the mod.
