Quickstart

1. Craft a Noclip Compass at a crafting table:

1. Use the compass and choose Enter The Backrooms. Use it again while inside and choose Return home to go to your Overworld world spawn.
2. Explore outward from the yellow halls. Watch for hostile creatures, and bring equipment for a fight or a quick escape.
3. For a quick encounter in Creative, use a Liminal Eye Stalker Spawn Egg on open ground. The Stalker is dangerous, so give yourself room.

Overview

The Noclip Compass opens a route into an endless Backrooms dimension of maze-like halls and changing environments. Explore its themed levels and encounter creatures from Backrooms lore—including the tall, yellow-green Liminal Eye Stalker.

What It Adds

• A dimension to explore: Begin in yellow, fluorescent-lit halls; farther areas use different architectural themes.
• Eight creatures: Smiler, Hound, Skin-Stealer, Partygoer, Death Moth, Faceling, Clump, and Liminal Eye Stalker.
• Building blocks: Backrooms Wallpaper, Backrooms Carpet, Backrooms Ceiling Tile, and Fluorescent Ceiling Panel for liminal-style builds.
• A Noclip Compass: Enter or leave the dimension through its travel menu.

How To Use

Use the compass to open the travel menu, then select Enter The Backrooms. When you want to leave, use it again and select Return home.

Keep exploring away from the starting area to reach new level themes. The environment changes as you travel, and the level name and subtitle signal when you enter a new area.

Crafting And Obtaining

The Noclip Compass is made from a clock, an ender pearl, a gold nugget, and yellow dye. Its recipe is shapeless and crafted at a crafting table; see the recipe above.

The creature spawn eggs are useful for trying out encounters directly in Creative.

Abilities And Mechanics

The Liminal Eye Stalker notices and pursues players it can see, then attacks at close range. It has 60 health and deals 13 damage per hit, so avoid facing it unprepared.

Hounds can be tamed with bones. A tamed Hound follows its owner and can be told to sit.

Hostile encounters grow more frequent as you reach more dangerous levels, and more enemies can gather nearby. Other creatures you may meet include Smilers, Skin-Stealers, Partygoers, Death Moths, Facelings, and Clumps.

Progression And Strategy

There is no conventional gear progression: exploration and survival are the main challenges. Bring supplies before entering, learn the route back with the compass, and pay attention to level transitions. Deeper areas are more dangerous, so consider turning back if encounters begin to overwhelm you.
