Quickstart

1. Open a Crafting Table and craft the Lifesteal Blade using the recipe below.
2. Place it in your hand.
3. Hit any mob — you will instantly heal for 30% of the damage dealt and see Regeneration particles flash around you.

Overview

The Lifesteal Blade is a powerful epic-rarity melee weapon that sustains you in combat by siphoning life from your enemies. Every successful strike returns a portion of the damage as health, letting skilled fighters stay alive through prolonged fights without relying on food or potions.

What It Adds

The blade has a distinctive appearance: a blood-red handle, a deep blue tip, and a purple center emblazoned with the word Lifesteal.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Lifesteal — On each hit that successfully lands, the blade heals you for 30% of the damage actually dealt. If the target dies from the blow, the full amount of health it had remaining counts as damage dealt for the heal calculation.
• Healing cap — You cannot be healed above your maximum health.
• Visual feedback — A brief Regeneration particle effect plays on you each time lifesteal triggers, confirming the heal.
• Enchantable — The blade occupies the sword enchantment slot, so it accepts all standard sword enchantments (Sharpness, Looting, Fire Aspect, etc.).
• Glint — The item always displays an enchantment glint, reflecting its epic status.

Crafting And Obtaining

The Lifesteal Blade is crafted at a Crafting Table using rare end-game materials:

• Diamond — top slot
• Enchanted Golden Apple — middle slot
• Blaze Rod — bottom slot (handle)

Progression And Strategy

• Craft the blade after you have raided a fortress for Blaze Rods and obtained an Enchanted Golden Apple (crafted or found in loot chests).
• The 30% lifesteal makes the blade exceptional against high-health enemies such as the Wither or Elder Guardian, where each hit returns several hearts.
• Repair the blade with a Nether Star at an anvil to restore 500 durability per star, keeping your investment alive long-term.
• Stack offensive enchantments like Sharpness to increase raw damage, which in turn increases the amount of health stolen per hit.
• The blade is less effective against very weak enemies (small heal amounts) — save it for tough fights where sustained healing matters most.
