Lavaforged Netherite Tools

Quickstart

1. Get a Netherite Pickaxe or Netherite Axe and a Lava Bucket.
2. Combine them at a crafting table to forge a Lavaforged tool:

3. Equip the Lavaforged tool in your main hand.
4. Mine any block — it breaks almost instantly, and any mob or player you hit bursts into flame.

Overview

Lavaforged Netherite Tools turns your Netherite Pickaxe and Netherite Axe into blazing, lava-infused versions of themselves. These upgraded tools mine at incredible speed, hit harder, and set anything they strike on fire, making them ideal for combat, mining, and general resource gathering.

What It Adds

Both tools have full Netherite-tier durability, can be enchanted like other Netherite tools, and can be repaired with Netherite Ingots.

Crafting And Obtaining

Craft each Lavaforged tool by placing a Lava Bucket together with the matching Netherite tool in a crafting table:

• — Lavaforged Netherite Pickaxe
• — Lavaforged Netherite Axe

Note that using the Lava Bucket in the recipe consumes it, and it does not return an empty bucket.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Blazing Speed: While held, these tools mine appropriate blocks (stone/ore/metal for the pickaxe, wood/plant/leaves/wool for the axe) almost instantly, no matter their normal hardness. A small lava particle effect appears whenever you break a block with them.
• Scorching Strikes: Hitting any mob or player sets them on fire for several seconds, dealing ongoing fire damage on top of the tool's melee damage.
• Consistent Heavy Damage: Every successful melee hit lands with a fixed, high damage total, making these tools reliable heavy hitters regardless of enchantments or other modifiers.
• Durability & Repair: The tools use standard Netherite-tier durability and can be repaired using Netherite Ingots at an anvil, restoring a portion of max durability each time.
• Enchanting: Both tools accept enchantments through the normal pickaxe enchantment table slot, so you can stack on Efficiency, Unbreaking, Mending, and other favorites.

Progression And Strategy

Forge a Lavaforged tool once you already have Netherite gear, since it requires a completed Netherite Pickaxe or Axe as an ingredient. Use the pickaxe for rapid mining expeditions and ore collection, and the axe for both woodcutting and melee combat — its fire effect and heavy damage make it a strong weapon in a pinch. Because crafting consumes a full Netherite tool and a Lava Bucket, treat the process as a permanent upgrade rather than something to repeat casually; keep spare Netherite Ingots on hand to maintain durability over time.
