Quickstart

1. Gather basic materials: glass, iron ingots/nuggets, redstone, sticks, and a few odds and ends like slime balls, quartz, and dye.
2. Head to a crafting table — every item in this pack is made with standard shapeless crafting recipes.
3. Start with the simple glassware (Beaker, Test Tube Rack, Flask, Graduated Cylinder) since they're the building blocks for more advanced tools.
4. Craft a Bunsen Burner and combine it with a Flask or iron block to unlock heating equipment like the Hot Plate.
5. Equip the Safety Goggles for a proper lab look, then start assembling display-worthy science gear like the Microscope, Centrifuge, and pH Meter.

Overview

Laboratory Essentials turns your world into a functioning science lab. It adds 20 craftable tools, containers, and wearable gear themed around chemistry and biology research — beakers, flasks, microscopes, centrifuges, and more. Every item is obtained through standard crafting table recipes using common vanilla materials, so you can build out your lab piece by piece as you gather resources.

There's no complex machinery or automation here — this is a decorative and collectible equipment set for players who want to roleplay as a scientist, decorate a laboratory build, or simply collect the full set of lab gear.

What It Adds

All items are held or worn like normal tools/equipment (Safety Goggles are equipped as a wearable). Most stack up to 16 in your inventory, while more complex assembled tools (like the Centrifuge, Digital Scale, Forceps, Hot Plate, Lab Timer, Magnifying Glass, Microscope, pH Meter, and Retort Stand) are unique items that stack only to 1.

How To Use

There are no special controls or activation mechanics — these items function as craftable collectibles and hand-held props. Craft them, hold them, wear the goggles, and arrange your gear to build out a laboratory-themed base or display shelf. Combine simple pieces into more advanced tools by using them as crafting ingredients for higher-tier equipment.

Note: some recipes require crafting earlier lab items first — for example, the Centrifuge and Microscope need a Flask or Beaker as an ingredient, and the Hot Plate needs a Bunsen Burner. Build up your glassware and basic tools before tackling the advanced equipment.

Progression And Strategy

Think of this mod as a collection ladder:

1. Start simple — craft glass-based items (Beaker, Flask, Test Tube Rack, Graduated Cylinder, Petri Dish) since they only need glass and common materials.
2. Branch into instruments — use your glassware as ingredients for the Pipette, pH Meter, Microscope, and Sample Vial.
3. Build heating stations — combine iron and redstone with a Bunsen Burner to create the Hot Plate.
4. Finish your lab kit — round out your collection with the Digital Scale, Forceps, Retort Stand, Lab Timer, Magnifying Glass, Wash Bottle, and Safety Goggles.

Since every item is a standard crafted good with no consumable use or durability, there's no resource sink to manage — just gather what you need once and your lab is complete.
