Quickstart

1. Craft the Ironstone Flash Pickaxe using the recipe below (the recipe is also automatically unlocked and handed to you when you join a world).
2. Equip it in your hand.
3. Mine any stone, ore, or other pickaxe-mineable block — it will break almost instantly.

Overview

The Ironstone Flash Pickaxe is a single, powerful tool item that mines pickaxe-compatible blocks at an incredibly fast speed. It looks like a simple iron-and-stone pickaxe, but underneath it hits like a top-tier tool, letting you clear stone, ore, and other pickaxe-mineable terrain in a flash.

What It Adds

• Ironstone Flash Pickaxe — a craftable pickaxe with extreme mining speed against any block normally harvested with a pickaxe (stone, ores, deepslate, and more).

How To Use

• Hold the Ironstone Flash Pickaxe and mine any block that would normally require a pickaxe. It breaks almost instantly, regardless of the block's normal hardness.
• It behaves like a regular pickaxe for combat and enchanting purposes, but its attack speed is slow, making it best suited for mining rather than fighting.
• It stacks up to 1 per inventory slot, just like other tools.
• It can be found in the Tools tab of the Creative inventory.

Craft it using cobblestone, iron ingots, and sticks in a standard pickaxe shape:

Abilities And Mechanics

• Instant Mining: Any block tagged as pickaxe-mineable (stone, ores, deepslate variants, etc.) breaks in a fraction of a second, no matter its normal mining time.
• Netherite-Tier Durability: The pickaxe uses top-tier tool durability, so it can mine an enormous number of blocks before wearing out.
• Combat Stats: It deals modest attack damage but swings slowly, so it's not designed as a weapon — its strength is purely in mining speed.

Progression And Strategy

Because the recipe only needs cobblestone, iron ingots, and sticks — all early-game materials — you can craft the Ironstone Flash Pickaxe almost immediately after starting a new world. Use it to rapidly strip-mine, tunnel, or clear large stone builds without needing to progress through diamond or netherite tool tiers first.
