Quickstart

1. Craft the Ironbreaker Wrench using the recipe below.
2. Equip it in your main hand.
3. Go find some iron ore (regular or deepslate variant) and start swinging.
4. Watch the ore block shatter into nothing — no drops, no experience, just demolition.

Overview

The Ironbreaker Wrench is a heavy, single-purpose iron tool built for one job: obliterating iron ore. Unlike a normal pickaxe, it doesn't mine ore for resources — it destroys the block outright, leaving nothing behind. It's a demolition tool, not a mining tool, and it doubles as a surprisingly hard-hitting melee weapon.

What It Adds

• Ironbreaker Wrench — a durable iron-tier tool that appears in the Tools creative menu tab and can be crafted in survival.

How To Use

• Hold the wrench in your main hand and break Iron Ore or Deepslate Iron Ore blocks as you normally would.
• Instead of dropping raw iron, the ore block is destroyed instantly with a burst effect and vanishes completely — no items are dropped.
• Every ore block destroyed this way costs the wrench 1 point of durability (unless you're in Creative Mode, where it never takes damage).
• The wrench also functions as a pickaxe for general purposes and hits noticeably harder than a normal iron pickaxe if used as a weapon in melee combat.
• It behaves like a standard iron pickaxe against every other block type — only iron ore and deepslate iron ore trigger the destructive "wrench" behavior.

Crafting And Obtaining

Craft the wrench with iron ingots, an iron block, and sticks in the shape shown here:

New players entering the world automatically receive the crafting recipe unlocked in their recipe book, so you don't need to discover it through normal recipe-unlock progression.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Ore Annihilation: Breaking iron ore or deepslate iron ore with the wrench destroys the block with no drops — a deliberate trade-off for players who want to clear ore out of the way without harvesting it.
• Heavy Hitter: The wrench swings slower than a typical pickaxe but delivers much higher attack damage, making it a viable backup weapon.
• Single Item Slot: Only one Ironbreaker Wrench can be held in a stack at a time, reinforcing its role as a dedicated tool rather than a stackable consumable.
• Durability Cost: Every ore-annihilation use consumes durability just like a normal mining action, so plan repairs or replacements if you intend to use it heavily outside of Creative Mode.

Progression And Strategy

Use the Ironbreaker Wrench when you want to clear out unwanted iron ore veins quickly — for example, when tunneling through iron-rich terrain that you don't want to stop and mine, or when landscaping around bases where ore blocks are in the way. Keep a normal pickaxe on hand for actual iron collection, and switch to the wrench only when demolition, not resources, is the goal.
