Quickstart

1. Craft the Iron Nugget Sniper using the recipe below.
2. Stock up on iron nuggets — each shot consumes one.
3. Hold the sniper in your hand, aim at a target, and right-click to fire.

Overview

The Iron Nugget Sniper is a powerful ranged weapon that launches iron nuggets as fast, visible projectiles with a nearly flat trajectory. It hits hard, travels far, and rewards precision — but demands good aim and careful ammo management thanks to its cooldown between shots.

What It Adds

• Iron Nugget Sniper — a single-item ranged weapon found in the Combat creative tab. It does not stack and has 256 durability uses.

How To Use

• Right-click while holding the Iron Nugget Sniper to fire a projectile.
• The projectile travels very fast with almost no arc, making it easy to aim at distant targets.
• Each shot deals 20 damage (10 hearts), enough to eliminate most mobs in a single hit.
• After firing, the weapon enters a 3-second cooldown before it can be used again.
• In Survival/Adventure mode, one iron nugget is removed from your inventory per shot. If you have no iron nuggets, the weapon cannot fire.
• In Creative mode, ammo is unlimited.

Crafting And Obtaining

The recipe is unlocked automatically when you join a world.

The weapon requires sticks, iron ingots, a redstone repeater, and a tripwire hook to craft.

Abilities And Mechanics

The projectile is rendered visually as an iron nugget in flight, so you can see it travel toward your target.

Progression And Strategy

• Stock iron nuggets early. Iron nuggets are obtained by smelting iron tools/armor or crafting from iron ingots (1 ingot → 9 nuggets). A stack of 64 nuggets gives you 64 shots.
• Make every shot count. The 3-second cooldown means you cannot spam fire. Line up your shot carefully, especially against fast-moving targets.
• One-shot power. Most mobs in the game have fewer than 10 hearts of health, so a single clean hit is usually lethal — use this to safely dispatch dangerous enemies like Creepers before they get close.
• Boss fights. Against high-health targets like the Wither or Ender Dragon, the sniper deals consistent heavy damage at range. Bring plenty of iron nuggets.
