Quickstart

1. Craft the Iron Nugget Pistol using the recipe below.
2. Stock up on iron nuggets — each shot consumes one.
3. Hold the pistol in your hand, then right-click to fire.
4. Keep nuggets in your inventory and enjoy the half-second rhythm of a real pistol's fire rate.

Overview

The Iron Nugget Pistol is a craftable ranged weapon that launches iron nuggets as fast-moving projectiles. It gives players a mid-range combat option that is easy to craft from common materials and satisfying to use, with a distinct firing sound and a controlled fire rate.

What It Adds

The pistol is found in the Combat creative tab.

How To Use

• Fire: Right-click while holding the pistol.
• Ammunition: Each shot consumes one iron nugget from anywhere in your inventory. If you have no iron nuggets, the pistol will not fire.
• Creative mode: In Creative mode, no ammunition is consumed.
• Cooldown: After each shot, a 0.5-second (10-tick) cooldown prevents the pistol from firing again. The standard cooldown indicator on the item will show this visually.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Damage: Each iron nugget projectile deals 6 damage (3 hearts) to any entity it strikes.
• Projectile speed: Nuggets travel fast (speed 3.0) with very low gravity, flying in a near-flat trajectory over medium distances.
• On hit: The projectile disappears on contact with any surface or entity.
• Sound: A custom firing sound plays each time you shoot.

Progression And Strategy

• Iron nuggets are cheap and plentiful — smelt iron ingots or break iron tools/armor for a steady ammo supply.
• The pistol's 3-heart damage per shot makes it effective for softening mobs before they close in, or finishing off fleeing enemies.
• With 256 durability and a fast-to-craft recipe, you can carry a spare pistol without much cost.
• The half-second cooldown rewards measured, accurate shots rather than spam — line up your targets before firing.
