Buy powerful shop abilities, then use them with cooldowns to survive danger
Mod Wiki
Infinite Ascension
Quickstart
Craft an Adventurer's Guide using — this is your item that opens the ability shop and shows your progress.
Use the guide to buy your first shop ability with earned currency, then activate it in-game to see its effect and cooldown.
Fight nearby mobs and explore for materials — many crafting recipes below turn everyday drops (bones, wool, logs, ender pearls, etc.) into special crystals and cores.
Build up Evolution Crystals and Infinite Crystals to craft powerful late-game weapons and armor.
Look out for portal keys and ruined portal frames — combine crystals with obsidian and netherite scrap to open pathways into themed dungeons.
Explore the world — the longer you survive and the higher you ascend, the stronger (and stranger) wild mobs become.
Overview
Infinite Ascension turns Minecraft into a survival gauntlet built around a shop of purchasable abilities. Players earn the right to buy powerful active abilities, then use them carefully with cooldowns to fight increasingly dangerous mutated monsters, delve into constructed dungeons, and craft escalating tiers of gear from monster parts and elemental materials.
What It Adds
Adventurer's Guide — the central menu item for browsing and buying shop abilities and tracking your Ascension level.
Elemental crafting materials — Guardian Stone, Frost Crystal, Inferno Alloy, Storm Steel, Void Essence, Time Crystal, Celestial Alloy, and the ultimate Infinite Crystal.
Themed weapon sets — Guardian Hammer, Frost Greatsword, Inferno Blade, Storm Spear, Void Dagger, Time Scythe, Celestial Bow, and the endgame Infinity Blade.
Monster drop materials — Wolf Fang, Living Bark, Scorpion Stinger, Ice Shard, Shark Tooth, Inferno Fang, End Crystal Fragment, Giant Bone, Cyclops Eye, Dragon Scale/Soul/Claw, and more, used in crafting and evolution recipes.
New creatures — Forest Wolf, Treant Sapling, Sand Scorpion, Ice Elemental, Reef Shark, Inferno Hound, Void Crawler, Cave Troll, Ancient Cyclops, and Ancient Dragon, each with a matching spawn egg.
World Mutation system — as players ascend to higher levels, wild monsters across the world become progressively stronger and rarer variants (Altered, Warped, Mutant, Apex, Evolved, Ascendant, Eternal), each with visible name tags and combat buffs.
Constructed dungeons — Ascension Dungeon Hub, Celestial Citadel, Frozen Crypt, Inferno Forge, Shifting Sands, Sunken Reef, Verdant Wilds, Void Labyrinth, and the massive multi-floor Temple of Origins.
Spawn Altars — placeable ritual structures used to summon bosses or special encounters.
Ore blocks that drop Ascension Shards and Evolution Crystals when mined.
How To Use
Hold and use the Adventurer's Guide to open the ability shop menu. Spend currency (earned through play) to unlock abilities.
Activated abilities trigger effects with a cooldown timer — plan your usage rather than spamming them, since they need time to recharge before reuse again.
Track your Ascension level through the guide; your level determines how strong the world's monsters become via the World Mutation system.
Craft a Spawn Altar Placer () and place it to build a ritual altar structure in the world, used for special spawns.
Seek out dungeon entrances or use portal keys/frames to enter one of the themed dungeon zones, each guarded by tougher, unique monsters.
Mine special ore blocks to collect Ascension Shards and Evolution Crystals for crafting and upgrading gear.
Crafting And Obtaining
Core Progression Item
Raw Materials (from vanilla resources)
Nature And Portal Materials
Potions And Tonics
Evolution Crystal And Gear (crafted from monster drops)
Infinite Crystal And Infinity Blade
Spawn Altar
Most special crystals (Nature Crystal, Frost Crystal, Void Essence, Infinite Crystal, Evolution Crystal, etc.) are made from a mix of vanilla materials and monster drops obtained by exploring, mining, and fighting. Higher-tier gear — Evolution armor/tools and the Infinity Blade — require stacking multiple crystals through crafting-table recipes.
Abilities And Mechanics
Shop Abilities: Purchased through the Adventurer's Guide, these are active powers with individual cooldowns. Use them defensively or offensively to survive tougher fights as monsters scale up.
World Mutation Tiers: As the highest player Ascension level in the world climbs, wild mobs are automatically upgraded through named tiers (Altered → Warped → Mutant → Apex → Evolved → Ascendant → Eternal), each granting stacking combat buffs like strength, resistance, speed, regeneration, and absorption. Mutated mobs display colored name-tag prefixes so you can identify their danger level at a glance. Certain dungeon bosses and minions are exempt from mutation.
Dungeons: Multi-room constructed structures (Frozen Crypt, Inferno Forge, Sunken Reef, Verdant Wilds, Void Labyrinth, Celestial Citadel, Shifting Sands, Ascension Dungeon Hub, and the sprawling multi-floor Temple of Origins) house unique loot and stronger enemies themed around their element.
Spawn Altars: Placed via the Spawn Altar Placer, these multi-block ritual structures can be built facing any direction and are used to trigger special encounters.
Ore Mining: Ascension Ore and Evolution Ore blocks are dedicated resource nodes that drop Ascension Shards and Evolution Crystals respectively when broken.
Progression And Strategy
Start by crafting the Adventurer's Guide and purchasing early shop abilities to boost your survivability.
Farm common mobs and resources to craft your first elemental materials and basic monster-part items.
Combine drops into Evolution Crystals, then craft a full set of Evolution armor and tools for a major power boost.
Push into themed dungeons for rarer materials and stronger fights, watching for rising World Mutation tiers as your Ascension level increases.
Gather the rarest boss materials (Dragon Scale, Dragon Claw, Dragon Soul, Titan Core, Cyclops Eye, Giant Bone) to craft toward the Infinite Crystal and forge the Infinity Blade — the pinnacle weapon of your ascension.
Keep upgrading shop abilities and gear in tandem, since world danger scales continuously with your progress — there's no fixed "end," only how far you can ascend.
