Inferno Netherite Armor

Quickstart

1. Get a full set of vanilla Netherite armor (helmet, chestplate, leggings, boots) and a Lava Bucket for each piece.
2. Combine each Netherite piece with a Lava Bucket at a crafting table to forge its Inferno version (see recipes below).
3. Equip all four Inferno pieces at once.
4. Walk into lava or set yourself on fire — with the full set worn, you take no damage from fire or lava.

Overview

Inferno Netherite Armor is a lava-forged upgrade to standard Netherite armor. Each piece offers extremely high protection and durability, and wearing the complete set grants immunity to fire and lava damage. It's built for players seeking the toughest, most extreme protection available, especially for exploring the Nether or working with lava.

What It Adds

All four pieces are rare "epic" quality gear, take up a single armor slot, and cannot be stacked.

Crafting And Obtaining

Each Inferno piece is forged by combining its matching vanilla Netherite armor piece with a Lava Bucket at a crafting table:

You'll need Netherite armor already in hand (mined and upgraded the normal way) plus a bucket of lava for each piece you want to convert.

Abilities And Mechanics

• High Protection: Each piece provides a very high armor value, making the full set among the strongest armor available.
• Damage Absorption: All Inferno pieces absorb damage from any source, further boosting survivability.
• Enchantable: Each piece can be enchanted just like normal armor, in its respective armor slot.
• Repairable: Use Netherite Ingots on an anvil (or via repair mechanics) to restore durability, similar to vanilla Netherite gear.
• Durability Wear: Pieces take damage with a variable chance per hit rather than a fixed rate, so the armor may wear unevenly.
• Full Set Bonus — Fire Immunity: When all four Inferno pieces (helmet, chestplate, leggings, boots) are worn together, the wearer becomes continuously immune to fire and lava damage as long as the full set stays equipped. Removing any single piece ends the bonus until the full set is worn again.

Progression And Strategy

Since crafting Inferno armor requires already having full Netherite gear, this is an end-game upgrade rather than a starting point. Focus on assembling a complete Netherite set first, then convert each piece one at a time using Lava Buckets. Once the full Inferno set is equipped, you can safely swim through lava, fight in the Nether without fear of fire damage, and take advantage of the high armor and damage absorption to tank hits that would otherwise be fatal. Keep spare Netherite Ingots on hand to repair pieces as their durability wears down over time.
