Inferno Fireblade

Quickstart

1. Craft the Inferno Fireblade using the recipe below (or simply check your recipe book — it's unlocked automatically when you join the world).
2. Equip it in your main hand or off-hand.
3. Right-click (Use Item) to hurl a fireball at your target.
4. Keep it in hand while walking through fire or lava — you won't take burn damage.

Overview

The Inferno Fireblade is a Netherite-tier sword forged for players who want to fight fire with fire. It swings like a heavy sword, shoots blazing projectiles, and shields its wielder from flame and molten hazards. It appears in the Combat creative tab and never burns up itself.

What It Adds

• Inferno Fireblade — a single unique weapon item that combines melee combat, ranged fire attacks, and fire immunity in one tool.

How To Use

• Melee attack: Swing the Fireblade like any sword. It hits hard but swings slower than a normal sword.
• Ranged attack: Right-click to launch a small fireball in the direction you're facing. This has a short cooldown before you can fire again, and each shot costs a small amount of durability.
• Fire and lava immunity: As long as the Fireblade is held in either hand, you are immune to damage from being on fire, standing in fire, touching lava, or walking on magma-type hot blocks. Step away from flames if you want to feel the burn again — immunity only applies while holding the blade.

Crafting And Obtaining

Craft the Inferno Fireblade with fire charges, blaze rods, and a stick arranged in the shown pattern. The recipe is automatically added to your recipe book the first time you join a world with this mod installed, so you can check the recipe book in your crafting table for a visual guide.

Progression And Strategy

• Use the fireball attack to soften enemies from range before closing in for melee finishes.
• The fire immunity makes the Fireblade excellent for Nether exploration, lava-adjacent mining, or diving into burning structures without fear.
• Since firing costs durability, balance ranged harassment with melee strikes to conserve the weapon's lifespan (it has a generous durability pool, but it isn't infinite).
• Keep the blade in either hand — you don't need to be actively swinging it for the fire protection to apply, just holding it.
