Infernal Hellhound

Quickstart

1. Get an Infernal Hellhound spawn egg from the Creative Spawn Eggs tab, or use /give @s infernal-hellhound-uzv7dcxv:infernal_hellhound_uzv7dcxv_spawn_egg.
2. Use the egg on the ground to spawn a hellhound. To summon one directly with commands, use /summon infernal-hellhound-uzv7dcxv:infernal_hellhound_uzv7dcxv.
3. Hold a fire charge and interact with an untamed hellhound. Each attempt has a one-in-three chance to tame it; failed attempts consume a fire charge unless you are in Creative mode.
4. Once tamed, interact with it using an empty hand to tell it to sit or follow you.

Overview

The Infernal Hellhound is a swift, fire-immune wolf companion with blazing eyes and powerful melee attacks. Fire charges tame it; they are not ammunition for a ranged attack.

What It Adds

• The Infernal Hellhound and its spawn egg.
• A fire-immune companion with 24 health points (12 hearts) and 28 base attack damage.

How To Use

An untamed hellhound can be tamed with fire charges. On a successful attempt, it becomes yours and sits. Afterward, use an empty hand to toggle between sitting and following, as with a wolf. Feeding it magma cream or food accepted by wolves can heal it.

No crafting recipe is provided for the spawn egg. Find it in the Creative Spawn Eggs tab, or use the commands in Quickstart.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Fire immunity: Fire damage does not harm the hellhound.
• Strong attacks: Its base attack damage is 28 points.
• Taming: Each fire-charge attempt has a one-in-three chance to succeed.
• Breeding: Feed two tamed Infernal Hellhounds magma cream or other wolf-accepted food. They can breed only with another Infernal Hellhound.

Progression And Strategy

Bring several fire charges when taming, since success is not guaranteed on the first try. Once tamed, use the sit command to keep your companion in place, and feed it when it needs healing.
