Description
The Icer is a passive aquatic mob that roams the Overworld's rivers and oceans. It is the icy counterpart of the Strider — sharing the same distinctive body shape but dressed in a cool blue palette and perfectly suited to water rather than lava. Like a Strider out of lava, an Icer on dry land visibly shivers, hinting that it is far more comfortable submerged.

| Icer (mob) | A tameable, water-dwelling passive mob that spawns naturally in Overworld biomes |
| Icer Spawn Egg | Found in the Spawn Eggs creative tab; summons an Icer |
Icers spawn naturally throughout Overworld biomes, typically in groups of 1–6. They are happiest when in water — swimming through rivers, lakes, and oceans with ease.
When an Icer is not touching water, it shivers uncomfortably, the same way a Strider behaves outside of lava. Get it back into water to see it at its best.
Icers use sniffer-like vocalisations — low, rumbling ambient sounds that make them easy to identify even before you spot them.

Icers are passive by nature but will fight back if attacked. A tamed Icer will not retaliate against its owner, but will defend itself against any other attacker.
To tame an Icer, right-click it while holding Ice, Packed Ice, or Blue Ice. Each attempt consumes one block and has a random chance of succeeding:
In Creative Mode, ice blocks are not consumed during taming attempts.
