Quickstart

1. Craft Honeywood Planks from Honey Blocks.
2. Craft an Amber Altar and place it in the world.
3. Craft a Honey Heart and right-click the Amber Altar while holding it to offer it.
4. Defeat all six amber-angered bee guardians that spawn around the altar to complete the challenge.
5. Survive the fight to collect Honey Hearts and Honeywood Planks as a reward.

Overview

Honeywood Grove adds a small honey-themed challenge built around a single special block: the Amber Altar. Craft a Honey Heart offering, awaken the altar, and fight off a swarm of enraged bee guardians summoned to defend the grove. Win the fight and the altar rewards you generously; lose your offering, and the forest falls silent.

The Amber Altar is crafted using Honeywood Planks, Honeycombs, and a Honey Block:

All three items can be broken with an axe like other wooden/honey blocks, and can be found in the creative inventory under Building Blocks, Ingredients, and Functional Blocks respectively.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Activating the altar: Place the Amber Altar, then right-click it while holding a Honey Heart. The Honey Heart is consumed (unless you're in Creative mode) and the challenge begins.
• The guardian challenge: Once activated, the altar summons six angry bees one at a time, arranged around it. Each bee is aggravated and will target the player who started the challenge.
• Tracking progress: The altar periodically announces how many guardians remain as you fight them off.
• Only one challenge at a time: While guardians are active, the altar will not accept another offering — it must be resolved first.
• Victory: Defeat all six guardians to make the Honey Forest "accept" you. The altar rewards you with 3 Honey Hearts and 16 Honeywood Planks, along with a level-up sound and message.
• Failure: If the challenge does not resolve successfully, your offering is lost and the forest "falls silent" with no reward.

Progression And Strategy

• Stock up on honeycombs and gold nuggets early, since Honey Hearts are the only way to start the altar challenge and are partially refunded (with bonus planks) on a win — making repeat runs sustainable.
• Come prepared for a multi-target bee fight: guardians spawn spread out around the altar, so consider positioning, armor, and area-effective combat tactics before offering your Honey Heart.
• Because the altar only rewards on victory, treat each activation as a deliberate challenge rather than something to trigger casually — bring enough gear to guarantee you can clear all six guardians.
• Use the reward planks to build or decorate with the honey-toned Honeywood Planks, and reinvest earned Honey Hearts into future altar challenges for more building material.
