Honey Bear Panda

Quickstart

1. Find one in the wild — Honey Bear Pandas spawn naturally in oak forests (on grass, in small groups of 1–2). Look for a brown, bear-like panda wandering in daylight.
2. Tame it — Hold a Honey Bottle and interact with the Honey Bear Panda repeatedly until hearts appear and it becomes loyal to you.
3. Or spawn one instantly — In Creative mode, grab the Honey Bear Panda Spawner from the Nature tab and place it on any surface to spawn one on demand.
4. In Survival, craft the Spawner at a crafting table using honey bottles, an egg, and brown dye (see Crafting below).

Overview

The Honey Bear Panda is a tameable bear mob that roams oak forests. It has a distinctive brown coat and an affinity for honey in all forms — from taming and breeding to growing up faster as a cub. Once tamed, it becomes a loyal companion that follows you, defends you from threats, and can even be bred to produce cubs.

How To Use

Finding Honey Bear Pandas

Honey Bear Pandas spawn on grass blocks in oak forest biomes (not birch or mutated forest variants) during the day, alone or in pairs. They are passive unless provoked as adults.

Taming

Feed a wild adult Honey Bear Panda Honey Bottles by holding one and interacting with it. Keep feeding until hearts appear — the panda is now tamed and loyal to you.

Tamed Behaviour

A tamed Honey Bear Panda will:

• Follow you wherever you go, teleporting to keep up if needed.
• Defend you from hostile mobs within a 25-block radius (it will not attack other Honey Bear Pandas or players).
• Remain by your side as a permanent companion.

Cubs

Baby Honey Bear Pandas follow their parent. Feeding a cub Honey Bottles speeds up its growth into an adult.

Personality Quirks

Honey Bear Pandas can display lazy behaviour — lying down or sitting randomly. Baby pandas may sneeze occasionally. These are cosmetic behaviours that add character.

Craft at a Crafting Table:

• H = Honey Bottle
• B = Brown Dye
• E = Egg

Place the crafted Spawner on any surface to spawn a Honey Bear Panda at that location.

In Creative mode, the Spawner and Spawn Egg are both available directly from the Nature tab — no crafting required.

Abilities And Mechanics

Combat & Defence

• Tamed Honey Bear Pandas actively defend their owner, attacking any non-player, non-panda mob that threatens you within 25 blocks.
• Untamed adults will retaliate if attacked.
• Adult melee attack deals 2 damage.

Breeding

Two tamed adult Honey Bear Pandas can be bred by feeding each a Honey Bottle. They must both be tamed before breeding is possible. Breeding produces a baby Honey Bear Panda cub.

Progression And Strategy

• Early game: Explore oak forests to find a wild Honey Bear Panda. Stock up on Honey Bottles — you'll need them to tame, breed, and raise cubs.
• Taming priority: Tame at least two adults so you can breed them and build a small pack of loyal companions.
• Combat support: A tamed Honey Bear Panda's 25-block defend radius makes it a useful bodyguard while mining or exploring. Its teleport ability means it won't get left behind.
• Survival spawning: If you struggle to find one naturally, gather Honey Bottles, an Egg, and Brown Dye to craft the Spawner and bring one to you on demand.
• Breeding chain: Because breeding requires both pandas to be tamed, tame your first pair before attempting to expand your group. Feed cubs Honey Bottles to speed up their growth and get your pack combat-ready sooner.
