Homing Blast Charge

Quickstart

Craft a charge at a crafting table using this recipe:

Hold the charge and use your normal item-use control to throw it toward a mob or player. It homes in on targets and explodes when it hits something.

Overview

The Homing Blast Charge is a throwable explosive. It can stack up to 16, so you can carry several at once.

How To Use

• Aim toward a mob or player, then throw the charge.
• The charge homes toward targets and detonates on impact, including when it hits a block.
• Keep your distance: the explosion can damage nearby creatures and affect blocks.

Abilities And Mechanics

• A direct hit deals 3–5 impact damage and can knock the target back.
• The impact triggers an immediate explosion with power 3.
• The explosion does not cause fire. Whether it damages blocks depends on the world’s mob-griefing setting.

Progression And Strategy

Use the charge against moving targets, but throw from a safe distance to avoid the blast. Be mindful of nearby blocks, since the explosion may damage them when mob griefing is enabled.
