1. Gather oak planks (and craft a wooden pickaxe and wooden shovel — they're used as crafting components).
2. Craft all four Heartwood Armor pieces: Helmet, Chestplate, Leggings, and Boots.
3. Equip all four pieces at once.
4. Watch your max health jump to 50 hearts, with steady Regeneration and Resistance kicking in as long as the full set stays on.

Overview

Heartwood Armor is a wooden-looking armor set that rewards players for collecting and wearing the complete set. Each individual piece boosts your maximum health, but the real payoff comes when you wear the helmet, chestplate, leggings, and boots together — unlocking a huge health pool and passive survivability effects that make it a strong choice for exploration and combat.

What It Adds

All four pieces share the same wood-based armor material, each with 90 durability.

How To Use

• Wear any single piece to gain extra max health for that slot — each piece adds 10 hearts (20 health points) on its own.
• Wear the full set (all four pieces equipped simultaneously) to reach the maximum bonus: 50 hearts total.
• While the complete set is worn, you continuously receive short pulses of Regeneration and Resistance, keeping you healed and better protected as long as you stay fully suited up.
• Removing any single piece drops you out of "full set" status and stops the regeneration/resistance effects, though you keep the health bonus from whatever pieces remain equipped.

Crafting And Obtaining

Each armor piece is crafted on a crafting table using basic wooden items:

The chestplate recipe uses a wooden pickaxe as an ingredient, and the leggings recipe uses a wooden shovel, so craft those tools first if you don't already have them. Helmet and boots use plain oak planks.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Per-piece health bonus: Each Heartwood piece adds 10 hearts (20 health) to your maximum health while worn, regardless of the other pieces.
• Full-set bonus: Wearing all four pieces together raises your maximum health to 50 hearts and continuously applies Regeneration and Resistance while the set stays complete.
• Durability: Every piece has 90 durability and can be repaired using oak planks in an anvil or crafting grid, just like vanilla wooden tools.

Progression And Strategy

Heartwood Armor is easy to obtain early on, since it only needs oak planks and a couple of basic wooden tools. Because the biggest benefit only appears when the entire set is worn, prioritize crafting all four pieces before relying on it for combat. The set's low base durability (90) means you'll want to keep spare oak planks on hand for repairs, especially if you plan to use the armor's health and regeneration bonuses for extended fights or exploration.
