Quickstart

1. Craft the Golden Sky Racer item using the recipe below.
2. Place it on the ground like a block — it will build itself into a small hover-car structure.
3. Right-click the structure to hop in and take the controls.
4. Use W/A/S/D to steer, Space to rise, Shift to descend, and Ctrl (sprint) to hop out and dismount.

Overview

Golden Sky Racer turns a golden crafted item into a rideable flying hover-car. Once placed, it assembles into a compact vehicle made of glowing gold-and-redstone parts that floats above the ground, ignoring gravity, and can be piloted freely through the sky. It's a fast, maneuverable personal aircraft for exploring, sightseeing, or crossing long distances without needing an Elytra or boat.

What It Adds

• Golden Sky Racer – the main craftable item. Placing it creates the hover-car structure in the world.
• A multi-part hover-car structure built from several decorative gold-and-redstone blocks, assembled automatically when the main piece is placed.
• A rideable flying vehicle that any player can pilot.
• An on-screen flight instrument display (speed, altitude, heading) while piloting, in both first-person and behind-the-vehicle camera views.

How To Use

• Placing: Place the Golden Sky Racer like a normal block. It automatically builds the rest of its frame around where you placed it, facing away from you.
• Boarding: Right-click any part of the assembled racer to climb aboard. Only one rider can pilot it at a time.
• Piloting:
  • W – accelerate forward
  • S – slow reverse drift
  • A / D – strafe left/right
  • Space – ascend
  • Shift – descend
  • Ctrl (sprint key) – dismount and hop off
• The camera automatically switches to a behind-the-vehicle view while you're piloting, then returns to your previous view when you exit.
• A heads-up display shows your current speed, altitude, and heading while flying. In cockpit (first-person) view, you'll also see a simple flight-instrument overlay and crosshair.
• The racer glides smoothly and slows down on its own when left unpiloted, gently settling if it touches the ground.
• If you take damage while riding, the racer will break apart and drop its item so you can pick it up and place it again elsewhere.

Crafting And Obtaining

Craft the Golden Sky Racer using gold ingots, a gold block, a redstone block, a saddle, and a firework rocket, as shown in the recipe above. Once crafted, place the item in the world to spawn the full hover-car structure ready to fly.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Flight: The hover-car ignores gravity and can freely rise, descend, and cruise through open sky.
• No fall damage or fuel needed: Movement is powered purely by your steering inputs; there's no fuel or charge to manage.
• Rider visibility: While piloting, your character is hidden so the vehicle's frame is fully visible without your body clipping through it.
• Single-seat: Only one passenger can ride the racer at a time.
• Durability: Taking damage while riding destroys the vehicle structure and returns it to a single item, ready to be replaced.

Progression And Strategy

The Golden Sky Racer is a straightforward personal transport rather than a progression-gated item — craft one, place it, and fly. Keep spares on hand since taking damage while flying will break the vehicle down to a single item that you'll need to re-place. Use the behind-the-vehicle camera for easier navigation and switch to first-person for a focused instrument view when precision flying through tight spaces.
