Godlight Sword

Quickstart

1. Get a Netherite Sword, a Nether Star, and a Netherite Upgrade Smithing Template.
2. Use a Smithing Table to combine them into the Godlight Sword.
3. Equip it in your main hand (or off hand) and start swinging — this weapon deals catastrophic damage and grants you passive divine buffs while carried.

Overview

The Godlight Sword is a single, extremely powerful melee weapon that turns its wielder into an unstoppable force. It carries a permanent enchantment-like glow, hits harder than anything else in the game, and continuously blesses whoever holds it with combat-enhancing effects.

What It Adds

• Godlight Sword — a netherite-tier weapon with a glowing, enchanted appearance.
• Passive divine buffs that apply automatically while the sword is held.
• A crafting recipe that upgrades a Netherite Sword into the Godlight Sword.

How To Use

• Hold the Godlight Sword in either your main hand or off hand to receive its blessings — you don't need to attack with it for the buffs to apply.
• Swing at any enemy or mob to deal massive damage; it will destroy virtually anything in a single hit.
• The sword works and swings like a normal sword (blocking, sweeping attacks, etc.), just far more devastating.
• It has limited durability, so avoid using it for non-combat tasks like breaking blocks.

Crafting And Obtaining

The Godlight Sword is created using a Smithing Table, following the same upgrade process as netherite gear:

You will need:

• A Netherite Sword as the base weapon.
• A Netherite Upgrade Smithing Template.
• A Nether Star as the special upgrade material.

If you haven't crafted it yet, the recipe is automatically unlocked for you, so it will appear in your recipe book without needing to discover it manually.

Abilities And Mechanics

While the Godlight Sword is in your main hand or off hand, you continuously receive:

• Strength IV — hits even harder for as long as you hold the sword.
• Luck — improves loot and trade fortune.
• Glowing — outlines your character, making you visible even behind obstacles (useful for teammates, risky in PvP).

These effects refresh automatically every second while the sword is carried, so they stay active continuously in combat and fade shortly after you put the sword away.

The sword itself deals an extraordinary 500,000 attack damage, enough to eliminate any vanilla mob or player instantly, though its attack speed is very slow.

Progression And Strategy

• Because it requires a Netherite Sword and a Nether Star, obtaining the Godlight Sword is an end-game goal — you'll need to defeat a Wither for the Nether Star and gather ancient debris for netherite gear and the smithing template.
• Its durability is limited, so treat it as a heavy-hitting finisher rather than an everyday tool.
• Keep the sword on you (even off-hand) between fights to maintain its buffs, since they wear off soon after unequipping it.
