Find or spawn a Gloamfang. In Creative, use the Gloamfang Wolf Spawn Egg. You can also summon one with
/summon com_gloamfang_wolf_companions_ldei2ss2:gloamfang_wolf. -
Tame a wild one by using bones on it until it accepts one.

Overview
Gloamfangs are wolf companions with dark fantasy color schemes and the familiar Minecraft wolf shape. Find them in the wild, tame them with bones, and use the Field Guide to choose their appearance and behavior.

How To Use
Use the Gloamfang Field Guide to open its menu:
- Change wolf color: Choose Eclipse Purple, Tide Turquoise, or Rose Magenta.
- Give a command: Choose Sit, Follow, or Roam freely.
The guide affects the nearest tamed Gloamfang you own in the same dimension, within 16 blocks. If none is nearby, move closer and try again.
Crafting And Obtaining
Craft the Field Guide at a crafting table from a book, bone, and purple dye. Gloamfangs also spawn naturally on the surface in bright conditions in biomes including taiga, grove, jungle edge, savanna and mesa plateaus, and some forests.
Abilities And Mechanics
- Taming: Use bones on a wild Gloamfang. Each attempt has a chance to tame it.
- Healing: Use raw or cooked pork, beef, chicken, mutton, or rabbit; fish; rotten flesh; or rabbit stew on an injured Gloamfang.
- Companionship: Tamed Gloamfangs can follow you, sit, or roam. They also defend their owner and attack skeletons.
- Armor: An adult tamed Gloamfang can wear wolf armor. As its owner, use wolf armor on it to equip it, or use shears to remove the armor. Repair damaged armor with an armadillo scute while the wolf is sitting.
Progression And Strategy
To breed Gloamfangs, use raw or cooked pork, beef, chicken, mutton, or rabbit—or rotten flesh—on two tamed, adult companions that are both at full health. These foods can also help raise a baby Gloamfang to adulthood.
