Quickstart

1. Create or open a Survival world and enter the Overworld.
2. Find the island near the world origin. If you spawn in the ocean, swim toward land or navigate using your coordinates.
3. Collect sand, grass, dirt, and jungle wood from the island. Three fixed palm-like trees provide jungle logs and leaves.
4. Make a shelter above sea level and secure food before exploring far from shore.
5. Mine into the island for building materials, then use the surrounding ocean as the boundary for your survival challenge.

No special item, recipe, or activation is required. The island and ocean setting are present as soon as the world generates.

Overview

Giant Playplace Gauntlet turns the Overworld into a deserted-island survival scenario. A single irregular island sits in a vast, mostly empty ocean, with no normal mainland nearby.

The island is centered around the world origin and is approximately 105 blocks wide east-to-west and 85 blocks north-to-south. Its surface rises above sea level, with sandy shores and higher grassy areas toward the interior.

What It Adds

• A fixed central island surrounded by open ocean.
• Sandy beaches and underwater sand over an ocean floor.
• Higher interior terrain made with grass and dirt.
• Three fixed jungle-wood palm trees around the island.
• A world with vanilla land decoration disabled, keeping the setting sparse and deserted.

The mod does not provide a normal crafting progression for special structure tools or other custom equipment. The main gameplay is survival, exploration, and construction on the island.

How To Use

Finding the Island

The island is generated around the world origin. Use your coordinates if necessary and travel toward approximately X 0, Z 0.

The surrounding ocean reaches sea level at approximately Y 64. The island begins just above the waterline and has higher ground farther inland.

Gathering Materials

The shoreline provides sand for basic construction and glassmaking. Inland areas provide grass and dirt, while the palm-like trees provide jungle logs and leaves.

The terrain is layered, so mining below the surface eventually reaches sand and then stone beneath the ocean floor.

Building

Use the island's higher interior areas for a base to reduce the risk of waves or swimming mobs reaching your living space. Mark your base clearly before traveling across the ocean, since the surrounding landscape offers few landmarks.

Boats, bridges, towers, and shoreline shelters are useful ways to make travel and navigation easier.

Crafting And Obtaining

There are no supplied recipes for custom items or blocks. Begin with the island's naturally generated materials and use standard Minecraft crafting for tools, shelter, storage, and transportation.

No special item is needed to spawn, place, or trigger the island.

Abilities And Mechanics

Sparse World Generation

The Overworld's usual land features and vegetation do not repopulate the island. The fixed palm trees are the primary vegetation landmarks.

Ocean Boundary

The ocean surrounds the island in every direction. Long-distance travel requires careful navigation and enough supplies for the journey.

• Island shores: approximately Y 65 and higher
• Island interior: generally higher than the shoreline, with grass and dirt layers
