Giant Pig

Quickstart

1. Open your Creative inventory and search for Giant Pig to find its spawn egg (also available in the Spawn Eggs group).
2. Use the spawn egg on the ground to summon a Giant Pig, or simply explore the Overworld — Giant Pigs spawn naturally on their own.
3. Stay nearby. It will not attack you or other animals — it only turns hostile toward monsters that get close.
4. Watch it fight: when a zombie, skeleton, or other hostile mob wanders near, the Giant Pig will charge in and attack it on your behalf.

Overview

The Giant Pig is a massive, friendly creature that roams the Overworld looking for hostile monsters to fight. Despite its name and pig-like theme, it has the size and stance of a giant sniffer-like beast, towering over players and ordinary mobs. It never attacks players, villagers, or other passive animals — its sole purpose is to hunt down monsters and keep the area around you safe.

What It Adds

• Giant Pig — a large passive-to-players guardian mob that spawns naturally in Overworld creature spawns.
• Giant Pig Spawn Egg — lets you summon Giant Pigs on demand from Creative mode.

How To Use

• Spawning naturally: Giant Pigs can appear on their own while exploring the Overworld, similar to other creature-type mobs.
• Spawning manually: Use the Giant Pig spawn egg on any block to place one instantly.
• Interacting: You can walk right up to a Giant Pig — it treats you (and other passive mobs) as friendly and will never attack you.
• Combat support: When hostile mobs (zombies, skeletons, creepers, spiders, etc.) come within range, the Giant Pig actively seeks them out and attacks, acting as a personal guardian while you explore or build nearby.
• Movement: It wanders the area, swims across water when needed, and looks around and at nearby monsters even when not actively fighting.

Crafting And Obtaining

There are no crafting recipes for this mod. The only way to obtain a Giant Pig is:

• Finding one that has spawned naturally in the Overworld, or
• Using its spawn egg from the Creative inventory to place one wherever you like.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Massive health pool: Giant Pigs are far tougher than an ordinary animal, able to survive prolonged fights with groups of monsters.
• Strong attacks: Its melee strikes hit much harder than a typical hostile mob, letting it take down threats quickly.
• High knockback resistance: It stands its ground well and isn't easily pushed around during combat.
• Fast and far-ranging: It moves briskly and can detect monsters from a good distance, so it doesn't need to be right next to you to respond to danger.
• Selective targeting: It exclusively seeks out hostile monsters — it ignores players, villagers, and other passive creatures entirely, so it's always safe to be near.

Progression And Strategy

Bring a Giant Pig along (or spawn one) when settling a new area or exploring at night — it will proactively clear out hostile mobs that wander close, acting as a mobile line of defense. Because it has high health, strong damage, and knockback resistance, it can handle groups of monsters without much risk, making it a great companion for building bases, farming, or traveling through dangerous territory without needing to fight every monster yourself.
