Description

A gentle and approachable canine with a softer appearance than its wild wolf cousins. The Gentle Hound resembles a domestic dog with fluffy fur in varying shades of gray and brown, floppy ears, and a friendly demeanor. While not as strong in combat as wolves, these social creatures roam plains and forest biomes in small packs, making them much easier to encounter. Players can tame Gentle Hounds using any type of meat or bones, requiring fewer attempts than wolves. Once tamed, they make loyal companions that will follow their owner and offer modest protection from threats. Though they deal less damage than wolves, their more common spawning and easier taming process makes them an accessible pet for players early in their adventure.
