Frostflame Mace

Quickstart

1. Obtain the Frostflame Mace from the Creative inventory’s Equipment category, or craft one at a crafting table.
2. Equip it in your hand.
3. Attack a mob or player with the mace. The hit target is heavily slowed for about 5 seconds, effectively freezing it in place.
4. Strike the target again when needed to reapply the freeze effect.

Overview

The Frostflame Mace is a melee weapon that combines powerful attacks with an icy freezing effect. Every successful hit greatly reduces the target’s movement, making it easier to control enemies during combat.

How To Use

Hold the Frostflame Mace in your main hand and use Minecraft’s normal attack control to strike a target.

When the mace hits an entity, that entity receives an extremely strong Slowness effect for 100 game ticks, or approximately 5 seconds. The effect has no visible particles, so the target may appear frozen without the usual status-effect animation.

Hit the target again after the effect wears off to freeze it again.

The mace can be crafted at a crafting table using blue ice, a heavy core, and a breeze rod:

Abilities And Mechanics

Frostflame Freeze

The mace’s special ability activates automatically whenever you hit an entity. It applies powerful Slowness that keeps mobs and players nearly motionless for about 5 seconds.

The ability requires no separate key, charge, or activation item. Simply attack with the mace.

Durability

The Frostflame Mace has 250 durability. Its durability decreases as it is used in combat, so repair or replace it when necessary.

Progression And Strategy

• Use the mace to stop fast or dangerous enemies before they can reach you.
• Freeze a target, create distance, and attack again when necessary.
• Use the effect against groups by focusing on the most dangerous enemy first.
• Keep the mace equipped when exploring areas with hostile mobs so you can immediately slow anything that attacks.
• Because the mace is a melee weapon, combine its freezing effect with armor, shields, or ranged attacks for safer combat.
