Frostfire Dimension

Quickstart

Craft a Frostfire Compass, then use it and choose Enter Frostfire Reach. Using the compass inside Frostfire Reach opens the same menu with a Return home option.

Bring a pickaxe and combat gear. Explore the Reach to find Frostglass Ore and Cinder Ore; mine them for Frost Crystals and Ember Shards. The Frostfire Pickaxe is a useful upgrade for mining both ores.

Overview

Frostfire Reach is a custom dimension of icy and fiery terrain. Ice spires, ember vents, and ore clusters mark its landscape. Two hostile creatures roam there, and exploring provides materials for the mod’s tools, weapon, and cores.

What It Adds

• Frostglass Ore yields 1–2 Frost Crystals.
• Cinder Ore yields 1–2 Ember Shards.
• Frostbound Sentinel and Cinderling are hostile creatures found in Frostfire Reach.
• Frostfire Compass provides travel to and from the dimension.
• Frostfire Pickaxe, Frostfire Blade, two cores, and the Frostfire Heart are craftable items.

How To Use

Use the Frostfire Compass to open its travel menu. Select Enter Frostfire Reach to visit, or Return home while inside to go back to the Overworld spawn. You can cancel the menu without travelling.

Explore as the surrounding terrain generates. Mine Frostglass Ore and Cinder Ore with a pickaxe, and watch for the Sentinel and Cinderling.

Abilities And Mechanics

• The Frostfire Pickaxe mines the two mod ores efficiently. It has 720 durability and 5 attack damage.
• The Frostfire Blade has 900 durability and 9 attack damage.
• Cinderlings shoot small fireballs from a distance and switch to melee when close. They are immune to fire but take damage from water.
• Frostbound Sentinels attack in melee, can break doors, and burn in daylight. If submerged, they transform into Drowned.

Progression And Strategy

1. Craft the compass and visit Frostfire Reach with a pickaxe and suitable armor.
2. Mine both ores for Frost Crystals and Ember Shards; use them to craft the Frostfire Pickaxe.
3. Fight Cinderlings and Frostbound Sentinels for their cores. Cinderlings only drop a Cinder Core when killed by a player or pet.
4. Combine the cores into a Frostfire Blade or Frostfire Heart. Keep distance from Cinderlings when possible, and avoid water around them.
