Frostbite Blade

Quickstart

1. Craft the Frostbite Blade at a crafting table using packed ice, a diamond, and a stick.

1. Equip it in your hand and attack any valid target.
2. Each successful hit applies Slowness V and Mining Fatigue V for 2 seconds, making the target move and act much more slowly.
3. Keep striking the same target. Hits landed within 4 seconds of one another build a combo, with every hit after the first dealing 1 additional damage.
4. In Creative mode, you can also obtain one with:

/give @s com_frostbite_blade_tcuq3ll5:my_sword 1

Overview

The Frostbite Blade is a frost-themed sword that slows enemies and rewards consecutive strikes against the same target. It deals strong base damage, briefly hinders targets after every successful hit, and becomes more powerful as an active combo grows.

What It Adds

How To Use

Equip the Frostbite Blade in your main hand and attack normally. Its frostbite effect triggers when a hit successfully affects the target.

The blade can be used against mobs and other valid entities. Continue attacking one target to maintain its combo and increase the bonus damage from successive hits.

Crafting And Obtaining

Craft the blade at a crafting table with:

• 1 packed ice
• 1 diamond
• 1 stick

The ingredients are placed vertically, with packed ice above the diamond and the stick at the bottom.

In Creative mode, find the Frostbite Blade in the equipment category or use its /give identifier:

/give @s com_frostbite_blade_tcuq3ll5:my_sword 1

Abilities And Mechanics

Frostbite

Every successful hit applies:

• Slowness V for 2 seconds
• Mining Fatigue V for 2 seconds

These effects give you a short window to reposition, prevent an enemy from closing distance quickly, or safely land another strike.

Combo Damage

The combo tracks consecutive hits from one attacker against one target:

• The first hit deals the blade’s normal damage.
• Each following hit against that same target adds 1 bonus damage.
• The combo expires 4 seconds after the most recent successful hit.
• Attacking a different target starts a new combo against that target.

A steady attack rhythm keeps the combo active and increases the blade’s damage over time.

Progression And Strategy

The Frostbite Blade is most effective when you focus on one enemy at a time. Open with a hit to apply the frostbite effects, then keep attacking before the 4-second combo window expires.

Use the brief slowing effect to control fast or dangerous enemies. Against groups, choose a priority target and finish it before switching, since changing targets begins a separate combo. Its 500 durability also makes it suitable for extended combat, and sword enchantments can further improve its performance.
