Forgotten Forest Camp

Quickstart

1. In Creative mode, open the Tools tab and take the Structure Wand. You can also use:

   /give @s forgotten-forest-camp-qawj4yef:structure_wand
   

2. Stand at the intended back edge of the camp and face the direction you want it to extend.
3. Hold the wand and use it. It launches a glowing projectile.
4. Aim at the ground or a block. When the projectile hits, the camp assembles at the impact point and extends away from you.
5. Wait for the colored blocks to finish flying into place before decorating or placing another camp nearby. The wand has a 3-second cooldown.

For a compact command-built version, use:

/structure build forgotten_forest_camp 24

Overview

Forgotten Forest Camp adds a single decorative structure: forgotten_forest_camp. The camp is assembled from colorful Colored Voxel blocks and can be placed either with the Structure Wand or with the /structure command.

The structure rotates according to your horizontal facing, allowing you to choose which direction the camp extends.

What It Adds

The camp is a building and decoration feature rather than a progression system or equipment set.

How To Use

Structure Wand

• Equip the Structure Wand in either hand.
• Use it to throw the projectile in the direction you are looking.
• The camp is placed when the projectile collides with a block or entity.
• Block impacts place the camp adjacent to the struck face.
• Entity impacts use the entity's block position.
• The camp uses the horizontal direction you were facing when you threw the wand.
• Witch particles appear around the projectile and impact point, accompanied by a chime.

The wand places the camp at its full stored size. Choose an open area before using it, since the generated blocks occupy the placement area and can replace blocks already there.

Structure Commands

Use the following commands in chat:

/structure list

Lists the available structures. The current structure name is:

forgotten_forest_camp

Build the camp at your current position and facing:

/structure build forgotten_forest_camp

Build it at a target scale:

/structure build forgotten_forest_camp <size>

The size can be any whole number from 16 to 256. It represents the approximate largest dimension of the result. The structure is never enlarged beyond its full stored size.

For a pillager-outpost-sized footprint, use:

/structure build forgotten_forest_camp 24

Stand at the desired rear edge of the structure and face the direction in which the camp should extend.

Crafting And Obtaining

There are no crafting recipes for this mod.

• Obtain the Structure Wand from the Creative Tools tab.
• Alternatively, use the /give command with the wand's item ID.
• The Structure Wand Projectile is created automatically when the wand is used.
• Colored Voxel blocks are placed as part of the generated camp rather than crafted separately.

Abilities And Mechanics

Animated Construction

Camp placement is accompanied by an assembly animation:

• Colored blocks appear scattered around the destination.
• They spiral and converge toward their final positions.
• Sparkle, end-rod, witch, flash, and happy-villager particles accompany the construction.
• The completed structure remains after the animation finishes.

The camp may take several seconds to settle completely, so avoid building directly over an active placement.

Orientation

The camp is aligned to your horizontal facing:

• Face north to extend the camp northward.
• Face south to extend it southward.
• Face east to extend it eastward.
• Face west to extend it westward.

The same rule applies to both wand placement and command placement.

Colored Voxel Blocks

Colored Voxel is the custom solid block used by the camp. Each placed block retains its own color, producing the camp's detailed palette. It has stone-like sounds and moderate durability.

Progression And Strategy

This mod has no item progression or crafting tree. Experiment with the structure's placement and scale instead:

• Use the wand in a clear forest or meadow to create an instant campsite.
• Use the size-24 command for a compact build that is easier to fit into an existing settlement.
• Use larger command sizes for a more prominent landmark, up to the camp's full stored scale.
• Face the camp toward paths, rivers, clearings, or other points of interest.
• Leave room around the placement point for the camp to extend in the direction you are facing.
• Treat the generated Colored Voxel blocks as the camp's main building material and decorate around them with vanilla blocks, lighting, storage, and other furnishings.
