Mod Wiki
Flesh Tendril Plague
Quickstart
Craft Flesh from eight Netherrack and one Ender Pearl:

Place Flesh beside blocks you’re willing to lose. It slowly grows into nearby non-air blocks. Watch what happens when it reaches water or lava, and keep a Soul Torch or Soul Wall Torch within six blocks if you need protection from contact hazards.
Overview
Flesh is a spreading plague block that consumes its surroundings and harms living creatures that touch it. Water turns Flesh into Blood; lava reached by a tendril becomes Blood Lava. Both fluids are dangerous, and touching either reverses your movement controls.
What It Adds
- Flesh: A slowly spreading block that overwrites nearby non-air blocks.
- Blood and Blood Lava: Plague fluids with buckets. Blood infects creatures on contact; Blood Lava burns and damages them.
- Flesh Beacon: A corrupted active beacon that draws in and harms nearby players.
- Flesh creatures: Infected versions of zombies, pigs, llamas, slimes, villagers, wardens, spiders, skeletons, iron golems, and endermen.
How To Use
Place Flesh to start an outbreak. Each Flesh block checks nearby directions periodically and can spread into neighboring non-air blocks. Give it time and room to grow.
When Flesh touches water, that Flesh block becomes Blood. When it reaches lava, the lava becomes Blood Lava. You can collect source blocks with a bucket.
A Soul Torch or Soul Wall Torch protects living creatures within six blocks from Flesh and fluid contact effects. For players, it also prevents the movement reversal caused by Blood and Blood Lava.
Crafting And Obtaining
Flesh is made with Netherrack and an Ender Pearl, as shown in the Quickstart recipe. Blood and Blood Lava have buckets; Flesh Beacons can form when Flesh touches an active vanilla beacon.
Abilities And Mechanics
- Flesh contact: Deals damage over time and inflicts nausea and hunger. Damage can occur about once per second.
- Blood contact: Deals damage and infects living creatures with nausea and hunger.
- Blood Lava contact: Sets creatures on fire and deals damage. A nearby Soul Torch or Soul Wall Torch prevents these contact hazards.
- Control reversal: Touching Blood or Blood Lava reverses movement controls while you’re in the fluid.
- Creature conversion: If a mob is killed by Flesh contact while standing on Flesh, it may transform after a short delay. Supported species become hostile Flesh variants; other mobs are consumed, leaving Flesh behind. Converted variants hunt nearby players.
- Flesh Husk: A converted zombie becomes a Flesh Husk. Flesh Husks leave Flesh beneath themselves periodically.
- Flesh Beacon: An active beacon touched by Flesh becomes a Flesh Beacon. Players within 32 blocks are slowed, poisoned, drawn toward it, and damaged; it can also place Flesh beneath them.
Progression And Strategy
Start with a small patch in an area you can afford to lose, then observe how it spreads and reacts to nearby liquids. Keep Soul Torches or Soul Wall Torches close when testing contact effects, and watch for a Flesh Beacon’s influence before approaching.
