Flamebreath Wand

Quickstart

1. Craft the Flamebreath Wand at a Crafting Table (recipe below) or grab it from the Equipment tab in Creative mode.
2. Hold it in your hand.
3. Hold the Use button (right-click on desktop, hold the interact button on mobile/controller) to channel a continuous cone of fire.
4. Aim at mobs — anything caught in the flame cone is ignited and takes repeated damage pulses while you hold the button.

Overview

The Flamebreath Wand is a hand-held fire channeling weapon. While you hold down the use button, a dense cone of flame and lava particles erupts from your hand, reaching up to 10 blocks forward and spreading to a 4-block-wide radius at its tip. Any non-player mob inside that cone is set on fire and struck with repeated magic damage for as long as the stream is active. Release the button to stop the flames instantly.

What It Adds

How To Use

• Equip the wand in your main hand.
• Hold the Use button to begin channeling. The flame cone is continuous — keep the button held to maintain the stream.
• Aim carefully. The cone starts narrow at your hand and widens to a 4-block radius at maximum range (10 blocks). Enemies near the edges of the cone at distance are still hit.
• Release the Use button at any time to stop immediately.
• On platforms that do not support continuous channeling, a short burst of flames fires automatically when you tap Use, so the wand still functions everywhere.

Note: While channeling, your movement speed is slightly reduced, so position yourself before opening fire.

Abilities And Mechanics

• Ignition: Every mob inside the cone is set on fire for 3 seconds each damage pulse, refreshing the burn continuously while they remain in range.
• Magic damage: The wand deals magic-type damage pulses, bypassing some resistances. Item entities and experience orbs are not affected.
• Other players are immune: The flame cone never harms other players, only non-player mobs.
• Particle density: The cone is filled with dense flame and lava particles, making it easy to see exactly where the fire is hitting.

Crafting And Obtaining

Craft the Flamebreath Wand at a Crafting Table using Blaze Powder, a Fire Charge, and a Stick. The recipe unlocks automatically once you have any of the three ingredients in your inventory.

The wand is also available directly from the Equipment creative inventory tab if you prefer not to craft it.

Progression And Strategy

• Early fire damage: The wand is crafted from Nether materials (Blaze Powder and Fire Charge), so plan a Nether trip to gather ingredients. Once crafted, it becomes a reliable crowd-control tool.
• Crowd control: The wide end radius means you can sweep through groups of mobs clustered together. Position yourself so multiple enemies are within the cone's spread.
• Sustained pressure: Because damage ticks every ~0.2 seconds and fire is refreshed constantly, the wand excels at wearing down tougher mobs over a few seconds of sustained channeling.
• Mobility trade-off: Your movement speed drops while channeling. Pick a safe angle before you start firing, or use terrain to prevent mobs from flanking you during the slow.
• Fire-immune mobs: Mobs that are naturally immune to fire (such as Blazes, Wither Skeletons, and Striders) will not be burned, but still receive the magic damage pulses.
