Quickstart

1. Obtain the Netherite 3x3 Pickaxe from the Creative inventory, or craft it at a crafting table.
2. Equip it in your main hand.
3. Aim at a block that can be mined with a pickaxe and use your normal mine action.
4. The targeted block and the surrounding blocks in a 3×3 plane are mined together. Their drops are preserved.
5. Aim carefully: the 3×3 plane follows your horizontal facing direction and can clear blocks above, below, or beside your target.

Overview

Fivefold Breaker adds one powerful pickaxe: the Netherite 3x3 Pickaxe. Each mining action clears a 3×3 area centered on the block you target instead of mining only one block.

The tool functions as a pickaxe and is useful for quickly clearing stone, ores, and other pickaxe-mineable blocks.

What It Adds

Netherite 3x3 Pickaxe

• Mines a 3×3 plane with each mining action.
• Has a mining speed of 9 for pickaxe-mineable blocks.
• Deals 6 attack damage.
• Has 2031 durability.
• Preserves drops from the additional blocks it destroys.
• Counts as both a pickaxe and a tool.

How To Use

Hold the Netherite 3x3 Pickaxe and use the normal mining control while aiming at a block.

The targeted block is the center of the clearing:

• When you are looking mostly along the X direction, the area forms a vertical 3×3 wall across the Y and Z axes.
• When you are looking mostly along the Z direction, the area forms a 3×3 plane across the X and Y axes.

This lets you mine broad walls or horizontal sections depending on your position and facing. Check the surrounding area before mining so you do not remove blocks you want to keep.

You can obtain the pickaxe from the Creative inventory under equipment, or craft it at a crafting table using three Netherite Ingots and two Sticks:

Abilities And Mechanics

• The clearing is centered on the block you target.
• The mining area is always 3 blocks wide by 3 blocks tall within its selected plane.
• The plane is chosen from your horizontal facing direction.
• Blocks are destroyed together with their normal drops.
• The tool is intended for blocks normally destructible by a pickaxe.

Progression And Strategy

Use the pickaxe when clearing large stone areas, opening tunnels, preparing rooms, or harvesting groups of exposed blocks. For precise mining, switch to a normal tool or avoid aiming near valuable structures, since one action can remove up to nine blocks at once.

Aim along the face you want to clear before mining:

• Face a wall to remove a broad vertical section.
• Aim along the other horizontal direction to clear a different plane.
• Reposition frequently when working near ores, builds, or uneven terrain.
