Farmlands
Quickstart
- Find the biome fast — grab the Farmlands Teleporter from the Tools creative tab and right-click it. You'll be whisked to the nearest Farmlands biome (up to ~8 000 blocks away). A short cooldown applies after each use.
- Place a house instantly — grab the Farmlands House Deed from the Tools tab, then right-click any solid surface. A fully furnished three-floor house appears on the spot, complete with chests, crafting stations, and ten usable beds.
- Start farming — the large hydrated crop fields surrounding houses grow wheat, carrots, potatoes, and beetroots roughly three times faster than normal. Harvest and replant to take full advantage.
- Trade with villagers — villagers spawn naturally near the houses' beds. Talk to any of them for very cheap (or free) food trades.
Overview
Farmlands adds a peaceful Farmlands biome to the Overworld — a rolling landscape of lush grass, pre-tilled crop fields, and cozy three-floor houses. The biome is purpose-built for fast food production and farming-based progression: crops grow at triple speed, villagers are abundant, and every house is stocked with loot and useful crafting stations.

How To Use
Farmlands Teleporter
- Right-click while holding it to search up to ~8 192 blocks for the Farmlands biome.
- You are teleported to a safe surface landing spot inside the biome.
- If no biome is found within range, a chat message tells you so.
- A brief cooldown (1 second) prevents spam teleporting.
Farmlands House Deed
- Right-click any block face to place a 13 × 13 × 15 house anchored just above that surface.
- The house includes furnished floors, loot chests, crafting stations, and ten beds spread across all three floors.
- Villagers will begin spawning near the beds shortly after placement, as long as you remain in the area.
Crafting And Obtaining
Both special items are found in the Tools creative tab. There are no survival crafting recipes — obtain them via creative inventory or the /give command:
/give @s farmlands-affw5o6x:farmlands_house_deed
/give @s farmlands-affw5o6x:farmlands_teleporter
Abilities And Mechanics
Triple-Speed Crop Growth
Any vanilla crop block (wheat, carrots, potatoes, beetroots) located inside the Farmlands biome receives two extra random growth ticks every time the game would normally tick it once, resulting in approximately three times the normal growth rate. Fully-grown crops are unaffected; only growing crops benefit.
Crop Fields
Houses generate surrounded by chunk-local crop fields. The fields use fully-hydrated farmland (moisture 7) with water source blocks spaced throughout to keep it wet. Crops spawn at near-mature stages so you can harvest quickly after arrival.
Villager Spawning
Villager population is tied directly to the number of unclaimed, unoccupied beds in the biome:
- The game scans every ~10 seconds for players standing inside the Farmlands biome.
- For each qualifying player, it searches nearby for unclaimed Farmlands beds and attempts to spawn a new villager next to one.
- Up to 4 villagers can be spawned per scan cycle across the whole world.
- Each bed has a 60-second cooldown before another villager can spawn from it.
- Spawned villagers are immediately assigned that bed as their home, preventing duplicate spawning.
- Villagers only appear near beds — they will not wander in from open areas.
- Deed-placed houses register their beds correctly, so new houses work right away.
Villager Food Trades
All villager professions (including unemployed villagers and nitwits) offer special food trades only while inside the Farmlands biome:
| Cost | Reward |
|---|
| 1 Wheat Seeds | 16 Wheat |
| 1 Wheat | 8 Bread |
| 1 Wheat Seeds | 12 Carrots |
| 1 Wheat Seeds | 12 Potatoes |
| 1 Beetroot Seeds | 10 Beetroots |
| 2 Wheat | 16 Cookies |
| 3 Wheat | 2 Pumpkin Pies |
These trades are available at all villager levels (1–5) and have no price markup (0% price inflation).
Progression And Strategy
- Early game: Use the Farmlands Teleporter immediately to skip long biome searching. Teleport in, harvest the existing crops for instant food, then set up a base inside or next to one of the houses.
- Mid game: Let the triple-speed fields run passively. Trade wheat seeds and wheat to villagers for bread, cookies, and pies — all extremely cheap. Stock up on food for exploration or combat.
- Expansion: Use additional House Deeds to drop new houses nearby. Each new house adds 10 more beds, which means more villager spawns and more traders over time.
- Bed management: Keep beds unoccupied (don't sleep in them yourself permanently, or place extra beds) to allow more villagers to spawn. The villager cap is soft — it scales with how many free beds are available in your scan radius.
